Yea modern way is bad.. Also all speaker wiring should be done the old school way it sounds 100x times better.

There is a thread in the metroamp forum about Normal Caps VS Sozo Caps VS Sozo Vintage Caps. The difference really shows in the picking and dynamics.

Yes the sozo caps dont change the tone a lot but they change and improve the dynamics and pick attack.

yea thats interesting but all plexis dont sound the same. Plexis are like living beasts some are more gentle while some roar!!!

Are you using speaker cables? i had the same problems man it was at the tech too and he had no problems until i realised that i was using some cheap cables that werent made for speakers.

It seems that you are just missing that Gain like i did or still do a lil bit and it seems it would be better if we would go for a JCM 800 (2203). But yeah it sounds great with pedals but it seems that we might like the JCM 800 (2203) or Metalface plate version more.
