1  Muchless / DC 30 / DC 30 - Effect loop on: December 05, 2007, 09:17:12 AM
Hi,
anyone having success using the effect loop on their DC-30? Btw, I know about the stereo phone jack and setup. I just doesn't like the way it sound through the effect loop for both channels with my Holy Grail reverb and Boss Digital Delay. I end up having the pedals plug in direct to the channel inputs with A/B/Y switch for both channels. But with this setup it sucks when you push to volume up. No Dry/Wet/Dry or wet/dry/wet channel.  Anyone have success with the effect loop? Care to share any tricks or mod required?

Bern.
2  Muchless / DC 30 / Re: C30 Rectifier - 1x GZ34 or 2x 5V4 on: December 05, 2007, 08:58:17 AM
I prefer 2x 5V4. Why? It's smoother and sound better to my ears. The GZ34 sound harsher and great when playing loud. I did not manage to push the volume pass 10 o'clock in my apartment yet and I love the sound without the master volume. Try it and decide for yourself. It's definately 2x 5V4 for me.
3  Muchless / DC 30 / Mallory or Sprague PS? Or Auricap? on: December 05, 2007, 07:51:27 AM
Hi everyone,

I noticed that my Ceriatone HC-30 comes with Mallory and they sound great with the Mallory. But I'm a big fan of guitar & effect mod and I love the Sprague orange drops.  I also see that some of Ceriatone clones comes with Sprague 716Ps while the others Mallory.(Is there a reason for that?)  I'm not an expert in tube amp that's why I ordered mine built and shipped by NIK.(to save myself from being electricuted) But does anyone out there could give me a pointer if the C-30 would sound better with the Mallory or Sprague Cap? I am also dying to try the new Auricap but they are expensive.

Thanks,
toneman.
