Hi erwin_ve,
I have a early 2008 50 watt ods which I have upgraded to a 100 watt with Mercury magnetics transformers, but I have never been happy with the od sound and the clean sound is not as clear as I would like. I would appreciate it if you could show me some of the mods you did to get that sound. I also use a heritage 2 x 12 cab with  g12-65 speakers.
regards

9  Ceriatone / Overtone / Help, conversion problem. on: July 26, 2010, 03:51:50 PM
Hello,
I was upgrading my 50 W ods to 100 W, added the 2 extra octal sockets and components and got the 100 W power and output transformers. Switched it on and heaters working fine, but when standby switch was switched on a high pitched squeal came from the speakers. Replaced the original transformers but still getting the high pitched squeal, even with all controls at zero. Replaced all the valves, checked lead dress etc, but no joy. Any help appreciated.

Hi Erwin_ve,

did you source your mm transformers in europe, and did they make much of a difference ?. Any feedback appreciated.

11  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Overtone Soundclips on: March 23, 2010, 05:16:35 PM
Hi Pickmaster, great playing and sound on those two 50 watt clips. Is the ratio control set to 8 on the amp, I cannot set mine to more than 2 or it will deafen me. Great playing.

Nik,
how about a D*****ator kit, I have a Kleinulator but would like a chance to make a valve unit, and it would be great to get all of the parts from one source. Anyone else interested ??  Smiley

Thanks for the feedback JohnE, its been very helpfull.
I will go for the 2  x 16 ohm speakers in parallel to give me 8 ohms.

Thanks for your reply JohnE,
I havent ordered the speakers yet, I was looking for feedback as to which speaker impedance sounded better with the OTS, 8 or 16 ohm, or does it make any difference.

15  Ceriatone / Overtone / 8 Ohm or 16 Ohm speakers for overtone on: June 18, 2008, 05:50:15 PM
I have an ots which I will be gigging in small venues with a 2 X 12 cab with celestion g12-65 speakers. I would appreciate any feedback from ots users as to which impedance to use, ie which is best, 8 or 16, before I order the speakers.

Thanks. Smiley
