1  Ceriatone / Overtone / Balance between my clean and my overdrive channel on S&M on: July 11, 2012, 12:15:36 AM
I've played some gigs lately with my Overtone S&M.
I have it since 2 years ago and I'm VERY satisfied.

The problem is that, my favorite settings for play on the Overdrive channel are very low gains (not too dirty overdrive).
I need more volume on the OD channel (actually RATIO) and I don't know how to push it more without pushing the clean volume.

Let me explain that my Overdrive Channel comes very pushed from the factory (when I'm about to 3 on Level, it becomes too heavy). If you think that I should change the Trim Pots, let me know please.

My settings are (notice the ratio on 10):

Volume   Treble    Mids    Bass   Overdrive Level  Ratio      Master    Presence
    6            6          5        5                 2             10           3             2

So my question is..... Can I get equal volume between the cleans and the OD channel doing somewhat??
The amp sounds AWESOME on that settings and I'm getting the tone that I want, but the clean is too loud.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for your help and greetings from Spain.

3  Ceriatone / Overtone / Best procedure to drill the holes in the headcab¿? on: June 24, 2010, 12:07:19 PM
I'm gonna fit the chassis on my new headcab of my S&M.

The problem is that the headcab arrives without the holes.

I'm gonna drill all 8 holes but:

Can somebody tell me the best and safest procedure for doing the "drill and fit" work¿?

Thank you guys!!

Xavi from Spain.

5  Ceriatone / Overtone / Pedals Positions without FX LOOP?? on: June 22, 2010, 12:29:00 PM
Hi everybody!

I'd like any kind of help with my question (sorry about my english):

Next month I'm gonna buy an FX LOOP for my S&M (Probably the Fuchs Verbrator).
But until I get it, I have to play several shows without any FX Loop.

This are my pedals in order from guitar to amp:

Tuner---RMC wah---TubeScreamer808---TubeScreamer808---TREX ChorusFlanger---FAT BOOST---Supatrem---DD3 Delay---Line6 MM4(Leslies,chorus, etc)---

I know that this are too many pedals for playing without an FX LOOP, but I want your help to take the best sounding possible.
Wich ones in front of the amp??
Wich ones on the send/return of the s&m??
Wich would be the best position for for my fulltone booster in all these trouble??

Thank you so much, guys. Have a nice summer!!

Xavi, from Spain.

Sure most of you know this amazing and super loud-clean amp that SRV popularized.

Wich of the Overtone amps is the most "Steel String Singer" sounding¿??
What do you think guys??

Thanks and every info will be great.

Hey hipofutura!

7 cabs... wow!!!

Sourmash have response to my mail few minutes ago and they can do the cab.

Do you know how long it takes the building  and the delivery, aproximately???

I'm gonna order it this week, probably.

I think it will be nice if you post the photos of your Sourmash cabs.... maybe you would help other people with his choice.

Thanks a lot.

11  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Head Cab on: April 19, 2010, 11:44:14 AM
Thank you guys!!  Smiley

I'm glad to be in such a great forum....

First of all, I won't do the cab by myself because I'm not at all with the wood working, and I don't want to piss a great amp with a mediocre cab.  Embarrassed
I want a cab that offers me great garanties, in terms of "well made" and "durabillity".

I send a mail to Sourmash Cabinets telling him the thing.
I'm not sure if they work "custom" (doing what the people want)
or "in serial" (building the cab-designs they want and selling them).---->Could you explain this hipofuturaHuh?

My other question is:

When I get the cab ....how are the steps for fixing it with the amp correctly??
                               .....is it difficult??
....Does the seller give me the screws??

Sorry about my ignorance with this.

Thank you one more time guys!!!!!

Xavi.

12  Ceriatone / Overtone / Head Cab on: April 18, 2010, 12:23:22 PM
Hi guys, I'm new in this forum.

I have just ordered a S&M to Nik, without the cab and I have an important question:

Where can I find a head cab for an "Overtone Special"
with the typical "Vox grille"Huh?

like this: http://img2.blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ybi/1/ab/f0/kodama702/folder/828978/img_828978_19968571_0?1247295922

Do you know know wich sellers are on the net that offer this??

And the most important, wich of them will ship to Spain??

Thanks a lot people, and best wishes from Spain.

Xavi.
