I remember you suffered a break - did this stop you playing? I broke the pinky on my fretting hand 2 years ago - now when I play a note with my pinky, my third finger moves down 'in sympathy' with it which is a bit crap - but I'm still gigging so it hasnt slowed me down too much :/

yeah, it was partially that. It took me a while to get my fingers up to speed. They're still not perfect, but I can play ok. After the recovery, I still haven't gone back into the routine of jamming and recording (for a number of reasons).  I've been making some attempts these days.

Nice to see you on here - love your videos - helped me decide that I needed an OTS :/

Cheers

Yo. I used hang around here more often, but I've been taking a break from playing.

glad you like your overtones. I played mine after a while yesterday and was still happy.

hi to all. long time, no play. I was chatting to Nik the other day and I remembered that I had 2 of the best amps in the world sitting in my room doing nothing, so I decided to play something today. Don't know why, but this Santana flavour kept haunting me...! Smiley take care.

Here's another clip I did this afternoon. I think that I am getting there in terms of what my tone is:

Okay, I'm just catching up here.... ;-)

Marin - always loved your stuff man, but this clip you really went "out there" on your scales! No idea what you were doing, but it was really nice!

Hey, I like that myself! Smiley

Those where the times when I still knew how to play reasonably! Wink

Long time, no see. Smiley Here's a blues jam with the S&M version, No matter how much I like the HRM, the S&M is simply a wild screamer. Wink

A thing I recorded after quite a while. Finger still stiff and recovering, but the C-lator does wonder with the HRM! Wink

thanks for watching,

Hope the hand is getting better now.

Marin,

Videos are really enjoyable, it is nice to see real person who explains things, jokes, plays and so on. Green light my man.
Cheers

I think it was realy nice that you heard your talk. It gave me the feeling I got to know you a bit better. Stange maybe vut still. You aklwaus look very serous in your video's and now it turns our you are a realy fun guy :-)

all it takes is few beers before you start recording! Grin
15  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: C-lator explained (demo video) ...a bit long :) on: June 23, 2010, 09:36:38 AM
The amp settings are the same throughout the 2 videos. Unfortunately, I had to render / edit the 2 videos separately because of the 10min limit on youtube.

I hear you when you say that there is no perceptable difference between the samples.

I think thats because I talk to much! Cheesy

I've had criticism that I only play in my demo's and never show my face so I went the other way here! Wink

m.

Ha Marin
I allready posted on youtube but still, Maybe the a/b diffence isn';t quite as clear as it could be because it's spread over 2 video's?
I even found the added effects a bit unclear. Maybe you have used a different mic/setup in previous recordings?
Loved you humorous presentation though. And good to hear it wasn't you in that video.
I agreee with Erwin. I have my Return turned all the way up as well. Not sure which pot on your C-lator that is though. The names are different.

One thing that is clear for me. When you use a C-lator it takes away some brightness and perhaps even some pf the dynamics/liveliness of the sound? It does make it rounder and sweeter.
