I have a very nice OTS 100 watt with very little use that i have to let go.

It has a custom built Two Rock replica head cabinet as well as a Two Rock Signature 2 X 12" replica speaker cabinet. The speaker cab comes loaded with TR 65 and TR 65B speakers, each 100 watts (200 watts total) wired to 8 ohms. Both cabinets made from high quality baltic birth with thick back panels. All screws are fitted with T-nuts instead of straight into wood for longevity.

No dings or scuffs and it looks like new. There is a crack in the lower right conner of the front faceplate but it is not noticeable from a few feet away. Included is a brand new faceplate that i never got around to installing.

It has the original foot switch and power cord. The pilot light was upgraded to the high quality fender type. The capacitance of the filter section was increased to keep the lows firm evan at full volume with a hot guitar. It sounds fantastic and looks awesome. I always get comments on it whenever i take it out to a gig. Zero issues. I think there are a few extra fuses attached to the inside of the head cab incase one blows at a gig too.

The amp is fitted TAD tall bottle backplate tubes as well as NOS preamp 12AX7's.

Looking to get around $1,700 + shipping. I will ship it in two boxes and try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. I will ship very carefully and purchase the necessary padding to get it there safe. Reasonable offers only.

I have a very nice OTS 100 watt with very little use that i am willing to part with. It has a custom built Two Rock replica head cabinet as well as a Two Rock Signature 2 X 12" replica speaker cabinet with two different two rock 12 inch speakers in it. Both cabinets made from high quality baltic birth with thick back panels. All screws are fitted with T-nuts instead of straight into wood for longevity.

It Sounds fantastic and looks awesome. It has the original foot switch and the pilot light was upgraded to the high quality fender type. TAD backplate tubes as well as NOS preamp 12AX7's. Let me know if you are interested and i can give you more info and pictures.

Looking to get $1,500 since the cabinets are of such high quality and were very expensive upgrades.

I am planning to try the Philips JAN 5751 tubes in the V2 position since the overdrive channel drives this tube to into clipping to get the distortion. They recommend using this tube if you have gain to spare which i do in the overdrive channel so i will try it in that slot. Because of the lower gain, it will give more note definition and character.  http://tubedepot.com/nos-5751jan.html

What you describe is the complete opposite of an OTS. I just finished building mine took it to my amp tech and got it checked out and biased. It sounds simply incredible. If you built yours, i would recommend bringing it to an amp tech for a check up, bias and, to makes sure all the parts are in the right places. Also check the internal trim pots. If the overdrive trim pot up all the way it it will sound very fuzzy.
7  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: what are the Best 6l6 tubes and andy ideas on pre amp tubes? on: November 02, 2009, 05:36:00 PM
I have a terrible time with the sovtek power 5881. I have had terrible rattling after a week in one of my combo amps and then mirophonics devloped due to the excessive rattling. Also they call them 5881 but they are really 6L6GC's. All of thier tubes seem very misleading in how they are labled.
8  Ceriatone / Overtone / what are the Best 6l6 tubes and andy ideas on pre amp tubes? on: November 02, 2009, 03:36:52 AM
hey guys im completing my 100 watt OTS and wondering what is the best tubes for this amp. These are what i am considering: TAD 6L6WGC short bottle, TAD 6L6GC tall bottle, Groove Tubes GT 6L6GE US made General Electric short bottle clone, and Russian new production Tung Sol 6L6GC. I have jj when i got the kit which i will use, but i plan to switch them out pretty quickly. For the preamp i am looking to get some NOS 12ax7 tubes. Has anyone used NOS in their preamps? Im especially interested in V2 preamp tube since this is the position that is overdriven for the overdrive channel. Any experience on the tones of different 12ax7 makes in that position? also different origins such as NOS, Russian, Chinese? What do you guys think?
9  Ceriatone / Overtone / Quick Building question on: July 31, 2009, 03:14:44 PM
Hey guys currently building my OTS 100 and was wondering if the star ground on the power transformer, labeled (E), gets grounded to the chassis with the PT ground wire (0) since those grounding tabs that (0) go to are labeled star ground as well. Or, do i keep star ground (E) as a separate point on the pt where its only purpose is to ground the electrolytic filter capacitors?

Second what is up with the fuses on the kit? The diagram shows that for USA 120 volts the main fuse should be a 4A, my kit came with a 2A. Also the diagram says the HT fuse should be a 1A, the kit came with .5A (or 500ma). Do i need to change the value on any of them?

thanks
Matt

Hey Guys,

Im going to be building an OTS soon and was wonder what are the best mods for playing a Strat through it. I have seen a few posts with strat mods but i have no clue what they do. If anybody has any good mods that will really bring out a strat, please post them here, also please explain what they do so i can decide what i might want to try. Oh, im already planning to add 2, 50uf 350v capacitors to the main filter stage to improve clean headroom as a saw on another post but other than that, im unsure.
