Whitebeard, I made the mistake of sell this camp last November when I was making room for my new HRM Bluesmaster.  Within a week of selling it, I immediately had seller's remorse.  I loved all aspects of the Champ, so I HAD to buy another one.

I now have my new Champ and am happy again.  I AM NEVER GOING TO SELL THIS CHAMP!!! It will go to my son will all of my other gear when the time comes.  I bought Nik's Ultra Champ which is nice because I now have a proper faceplate where my last Champ did not.

I had the cab built to my specification by Sourmash Cabinets.  I have had Sourmash build 7 cabinets for various amps, including my new Bluesmaster.  The quality is stellar, excellent communications, less expensive than Avatar, and you get to pick cab dimension, tolex, grill cloth, and piping color.  I wanted my new Champ to be smaller than the last so as to take up less room.  It's a 1x10 combo.  Contact Bob at Sourmash: bforrester4@tampabay.rr.com  Let him know you're interested in a Tweed Champ combo cab like the one he built for Don.

I put a Weber 10A100 alnico speaker in it.  I am an admitted speaker snob!  I've used half a dozen different speaker with the Champ in order to find what I consider to be the best, which is the 10A100 alnico.

Congratulations on your choice.  I believe you'll be as thrilled as I am with the quality and beauty of your cab.  It takes about two weeks for them to build and ship the cab.  I don't know how long it will take to ship to Spain.

Here are a few pics of a few of my Sourmash cabs:

Sourmash does do custom work.  I have 7 Sourmash cabs.  All built to my specifications.  I drilled the holes to mount my chassis, but Bob at Sourmash could probably drill them for you.  He owns a Ceriatone OTS.  I bought the chassis mount bolts at the local hardware store.

I can post pictures of some of my other Sourmash cabs if you are interested.  They are all beautiful cabinets!

The Sourmash head cab sells for $185 USD.

I had Sourmash Cabinets build mine.  I believe he has done others with the Vox grill.  Great guy, great prices, and excellent quality.  You'd have to ask him if he ships to Spain.   http://shop.sourmashguitarcabs.com/

Small World!  I live in Maine and have an HRM Bluesmaster.  However, it's not for sale.  Good luck with your search.  They're amazing amps!

It's a detail that can only be seen from a certain angle and something no one else will notice.  With the chassis as tight as you're thinking there's the risk of cutting the the tolex or pealing it back as the chassis is removed/installed.

I wouldn't to it.

I'm using a Weber 10A100 alnico and love it.  It's my final speaker for this amp.  I've tried quite a few and find this the best.  Warm, good depth and mids, and can chime when needed.  Best of all is the very smooth compression.

What are you running for speakers?  Switching to more sensitive speakers can be the equivalent of a several watt boost.   Or, hook up a 1x12 or 2x12 closed back cab and that little champ will be plenty loud for small gigs.

I had one of Nik's Vibro Champs, but sold it last year.  I immediately realized I'd made a mistake so I bought a new Champ Ultra.  I am now happy once again.  Every guitar player should have one of these amps!

I had Sourmash make the 1x10 combo cab, and I installed a 10" Weber alnico.

I love this little amp!  It gets more use than my Bluesmaster.

Lion, mine is covered in Nubtex.  If that's the look you want, verify that Sourmash is using Nubtex.

I've had Sourmash build six cabs.  They all look terrific and the quality is excellent.  As a matter of fact they're currently building me a head cab (my seventh) for an amp I've designed and am building.  I've built numerous cabs, and can't find fault with the Sourmash cabs.

Mcincu, we have the same tastes in amp.  As well as the Bluesmaster, I also have Nik's Ultra Champ in a 1x10 combo with a Weber Silver 10 alnico.

I actually haven't had time to really play with the amp.  The OD channel definitely will take time to get dialed in.  There are many clips on youtube of these amps.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I had Sourmash Cabinets build the cabs.  I had a very specific look in mind so I gave him the specs and he did the fine work.  I wanted the vintage style cabs, blonde Nubtex, black/silver matrix grill cloth, recessed handles, casters, nickle corner protectors, etc..  Excellent quality and price.

That's Nik's standard Klein you see sitting on the speaker cab beside the head.

The speakers are a pair of Weber 12" 12A150 alnicos.  By far my favorite speakers.  I've used them in two different amps.
