My tech found a couple of minor issues which have the amp very quiet, he grounded the master volume pot and did a little pre amp mod to quieten that down. He consulted with Nick through the process and now it's working great. Fozzy

Yep I've replaced the power tubes and biased them to 36ma, I also put new ecc83 pre amp valves in and it made no change. I use a guitar equipped with humbuckers and the noise is still there. I noticed today that with nothing plugged in, the master on zero, if I move the presence knob, the amp makes a whooshing sound ?? I've had plenty of valve amps and I know that some hum is a thing to live with, but this isn't normal hum, it's like the transformer hum is being amplified. With the era switch on 60s and the bright switches in the middle the noise is the quietest, move these to the right and the hum gets worse. I'm taking it to a tech on Monday, I hope he finds something, as it's unusable for me at the minute. I love this amp I really do. BillC

British Style / Chupacabra 50 / 50 watt Yeti humming ???

Hey Guys, I got a 50watt Yeti made at Ceriatone and shipped to Australia, the amp is awesome and i love it, the only problem i have is that the amp hums, its more like a bad earth noise than a hum but it does it, with the guitar plugged in, even without anything plugged in, i have the master about 12-1.00 and both gains about 12 oclock. The only way i could eliminate the noise was to use position 2-4 on my Strat. Anyone got any ideas ?? ive biased it at 36ma, put new power valves in, moved the pre amp valves around, still does it. Apart from that, i love this amp and Nik is a great guy to deal with. Fozzy
