Hi Gregg, Are you using the effects mentioned in the loop without any kind of buffer (C-later etc) ? If so, no tone degradation ? Cheers. Nik

Local Gig in Birmingham UK this weekend, giving my HRM a blast !!

I totally agree regarding the Kleinulator/Ceriulator, they do colour the original sound. I have found that some rack effects with gain switches on the reverse can be used with no noticable loss to the original tone. I personally use a Boss DDR-20, and have also used an Alessis Microverb 4 with no tone loss.

BTW, imho the HRM is the best amp bar none that I have had in 35 years of playing !

Here you go then, same gig with my Strat. Amp set exactly the same as with my Gibson !

Thanks Kieran, People definately seem to think these are a one trick pony because of the samey YouTube clips, and that couldnt be further from the truth they are incredibly versatile ! I too played in a covers band doing everything from Metallica to Lizzy to Sabbath etc with it. I bought a Soldano Hot Rod 50 a few months ago on reputation only, and I was so disapointed with it after all the hype, it just sounded dull and lifeless compared to the HRM.

Back to topic, I placed my effects in front of the amp except for the delay in the loop, my old Boss Micro Series Half Rack Delay is the only thing I have tried that doesnt affect the tone in the loop. I currently use Dunlop Cry Baby, Ernie Ball VPJr, TU-2, CE-5, Seymour Duncan Pick up Booster, Maxon OD-808 & Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe, powered by Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+

Video of me using my HRM Link below:

You are right, it doesnt have to be Jazz !

Boss CE-5, Maxon OD-808 and Cry Baby up front, with Boss RDD-20 Delay in Loop, No Kleinulator/Buffer

Hi, I am a Gigging Guitarist & very proud owner of a HRM 50 Head, I always carry a spare amp to gigs but realised that a 2nd rate spare if I needed it just wouldnt do, so I am looking for another OTS, normal or HRM model. If anyone knows of one available in the UK please give me a shout. Many Thanks.
