Real new to all this but just wondering if anyone has tried using the Sozo mustard re-issue or the Jupiter capacitors, and whether it's worth spending the 100 odd bucks to upgrade them?

Thanks for the advice Wyatt...From what it sounds like, would you say that as long as it's a 6L6 sort of tube it should be relatively safe? The biasing seems a little too complicated for me for now and would rather just get help from a tech only if need be...

Can some recommend certain 6L6 tubes that don't require me to change the bias? What do you think of the EH ones?

There are these RCA radiotron metal tubes that seem really peculiar, can anyone give me an opinion and whether they would fit without biasing:

But would the Mesa tubes work without biasing?

Hey guys,

Just got my Overtone today and am a newbie to all the modding jargon...Was thinking about changing the power tubes to Mesa Boogie 6L6GC (STR-440's), does anyone know if there's a need to bias the amp for these tubes?
