Hi
I bought this unit the same time I bought my 100 watt Plexi from Nik. I have NEVER used it and it just stayed in my smoke free pet free studio for the past few years. I will accept offers and will accept payment thru paypal. I would expect you to pay for the unit and the shipping cost. Hope someone out there is interested!!
4  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Question about matching a tone with a HRM 100 on: November 18, 2011, 07:41:13 PM
Hey Thanks Homesick Hanes
I really appreciate the input. I do however really want to avoid over the top bright amps like the Marshall distortions that a master volume marshall gets. I set my plexi really warm and clean just very close to breakup but not distorted.  I get my overdrive from pedals like a Suhr Riot  or a Koko Boost or from any of 35 or so pedals. BUT The amp is warm. I have listened to youtube posts and have deduced that the HRM is warm but I can be wrong. Recordings are an illusion considering what people do in their DAW or what youtube does to the file when dithering and converting or l;ow quality cameras as well as bad recording skills and bad echoy rooms that have low mid frequency modes. So I could be wrong. I love the tone even still with those variables , that I have heard with these amps so I guess I may have to just go for it or email Nik for some amp guru help as well. I still like hearing what players have to say too!
Thanks so much!!!

Kri thanks for the compliment! I appreciate it!

5  Ceriatone / Overtone / Question about matching a tone with a HRM 100 on: November 18, 2011, 12:27:19 PM
Hi
I am new to posting here but I have bought a Ceriatone 100 Plexi and recorded most of my next cd with it. The video post on Facebook at this link can give you a sneak peak as to the tones I got from using that head and a bunch of guitars and pedals to get a variety of tones. I love the amp .......BUT ....
I am wondering if I buy a HRM 100 whether I could come close to some of the tones I got  from the Marshall clone. I understand fully that they are two different beasts. I just want to know if it crosses over remotely, considering I want an amp with an overdrive in it that isn't a marshall type yet can get close if need be.

Check out the video here and if you are an HRM owner please let me know if I can get close. OR if you are another Overtone owner that thinks their type OTS gets the tones I am asking let me know too!

Thanks so much. I realize asking if one amp can sound like another is actually pretty silly but I just don't want to bring too many amps on the road and want a versatile amp with dynamics and yet sustaining natural tube compression to do more than one thing since I play a bunch of styles but can do a close representation of what I have recorded on this coming cd. I only wish I could try the amps out in person to make my own evaluation other than YOUTUBE. So I am requesting your opinions.

KEEP ON ROCKIN & Thanks again!!
Joe
