1  British Style / JCM 800 2203, 2204, 2550, 2555 / Ok so time to retube my 2203, couple of quickie questions - biasing - on: December 08, 2008, 09:04:39 PM
Hey everyone,

Ok so I dubbed it time to change out the power tubes, placed an order for some KT77's. When I ordered my amp from Nik, I thought ahead a bit and had him add outside bias points and pots to it as well.

So my noobish questions, (two of them) what should the bias be set at for 77s'? And the real noob question, what setting should my multimeter be set at? I am thinking V~500, yes or no?

 Thanks
 Dan

Edit, One more noob question -
Which of the pre tubes is V1?  I have a whole mit full of pre tubes I want to swap and try.

Thanks Radiohead, I looked around the site but didn't think to actually look at an amp for the shell.

Howdy everyone,

Any truth to the rumor that Ceriatone is now building their own head sell now? If so is there a list of options/prices available?

Thanks
Dan
4  Website, Store / Suggestions / How about a high gain offering??? on: November 07, 2007, 09:38:49 PM
When I purchased my 2203 from Nik this spring, I asked about the possibility of perhaps something based on a Mark series amp, but how about a "real" high gain offering for the masses?

P.S. love the 2203! Cool
