1  British Style / JCM 800 2203, 2204, 2550, 2555 / JCM 800 2204 chassis dimensions on: September 01, 2011, 05:26:38 PM
Could someone measure the dimensions of the JCM 800 amp and post them? Rather than buying a wood cabinet I’m wondering if the amp will fit into a 19” Anvil type road case.
TIA,
DaveT

Depends on the declared contents and value from the shipper (Nik) back in January my BM assembled chassis came with a $26 customs bill a few weeks later

Hope this helps!!

Greg,
What I'm wondering is if UPS has an additional charge for the customs clearance part. UPS has already told me that the duty will be around $20.00. Nik says the UPS freight charges are $139.00. UPS says the $139.00 doesn't include the broker fee. My accountant (she who will not be named) hates big surprises when it come to gear purchases. :>) Just trying to get my ducks in row.
Thanks,
DT

Called UPS about delivering a JCM 800. Since they would be the import broker of record I asked what the fees would be. They couldn't tell me.
So, anybody know what they charge?

TIA,

5  British Style / JCM 800 2203, 2204, 2550, 2555 / JCM 2204 - newbe questions on: December 23, 2010, 09:54:24 PM
I can't find a 2204 around here to play, so I have couple of questions:

Are the Ceriatone's quiet? My old Blackface bassman is very noisy.

Is the preamp gain gradual, just sort of gives the amp a bit of an edge?

Will the amp play clean? I don't mean like Twin Reverb clean, a little grit is OK.

Anyone have the 1/2 power mod, is it available?

FWIW, the rock gods where I live pretty much play JCM 800's. I like the sound for sure,
but the guys that have them aren't to keen talking about how they're set up.
Thanks for any advice,
DaveT
