VVR is in and what a difference! The beast has been tamed with the sound of the amp intact. I am most suprised how the low end is retained. I had tried attenuation with a Weber mini-mass (didn't like it) and after that a Dr.Z airbrake (was as good as the master volume). Next thing is a quality a/b to switch between the two channels.

Cool! I dropped off the amp over the weekend to have the VVR put in. I will report back on the results.

I too would like to see that also. I won't be doing the install but it would go a long way for me in understanding. I want to scal the whole amp and would have the tech install it in place of the Master volume. In that scenario does the cut still operate?

That is great! It sure is a loud 15 watts right! I have been seriously thinking about picking up one of those VanAmps reverbs. It gets the job done?

I have been using the TB channel most of the time on low power. What I like best for my ears is Vol at 12:00 Bass at 11:00 Treb at 1:00. I use the MV for channel 1 without jumping channel 2. I don't use effects. I have a Weber made 2x12 8 ohm Cab with a 50 watt blue dog and 50 watt silver bell with beam blockers. I love this amp but for now it has taken a back seat to the 5E3 through the same cab. I might have to hide my 5E3 and get back to the DC-30.

Will do Zeeman. I ordered the cab from weber today. I am a mark for weber speakers. The 2x12 has a blue dog and a silver bell with beam blockers. We shall see how the 15A150-O blends in.

Are they wired series or parallel? I have a 2x12 8 ohm cab and I have an 8 ohm 15" that I don't have a cab for yet. If parallel I would choose 4 ohm and series I would choose 16 ohm but how is the 5E3 wired?
