Kitarist, thanks..  You know I redid my math and decided it was cheaper to go with Nik's transformers even if the shipping is higher than buy in the US at $350-400 a set.  I can always upgrade later.

I am ordering a DC 30 without transformers..  What brand sounds the best?  do I need a choke? Do I order AC30 transformers?
