1  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: C-Lator vs Klein vs Lehle Prallel L vs Amp Mod on: June 12, 2010, 02:25:50 PM
hi,

i tested the lehle and i don't think it buffers the loop.
i find no information about the lehle as a loop buffer.

Hi!
Im a big fan of effects and i use delay, reverb, tremolo.
I use a Matamp GT1 and this amp has the same problem as the Ceriatone Dumble Clone Amps.
The Loop is basically a full split between the pre and poweramp, completely unbuffered.
What happens is you loose volume and top end when the loop is used... if you simply put the delay in the front of the amp then use the amps drive things get messy as the delay gets distorted.. should be the other way around.

I already tested the Klein, it works but i dislike that it removes some of the amps original "Matamp" tone.
I can't live with it, it changes too much in the matamp. I think it sounded more steril and a bit less warm.
Maybe the C-Lator is warmer and sweeter. But the Klein was really transparent!

I need an FX Loop. I think about the C-Lator or the Lehle Prallel L.
If both fail, i would go to a tech, that mods the amp with a valve that drives the loop, but i think
the C-Lator would be equal or better. The Lehle got that advantage that you can turn the whole
unit of, so its true bypass with no tone loss! Very useful for fx if you ask me.

Now, i don't know if the lehle solves the impendance missmatch.
Take a look in the manual, maybe you can see it. They describe that it works for the loop on page 3.
Can you please take a look? A big advantage would be the size of the unit.

Im really interested in both pedals and i would buy both for my amps if it works...
