Funny I went the other way. after having a dumble in 1979-1981 and trading it away for a super lead stack (hey it was the '80s hair rock)) it left a void. within the last few years I bought a fuchs tds 150, a ods 50 both pre-slx. a carol ann od2 100 and a od3 50 combo. trying to capture that tone (great amps but didn't quite do it for me). heard about ceriatone. decided to give an original ots 100 a try. sounded just like i remember. liked it so much i bought a hrm 100 also. still use a carol ann triptik 100 for hard rock, along with a friedman be 100. but the OTS 100 just nails my old dumble tone.
all the other "d "styles went to craigslist,
But then again the only fuchs I've owned were the ODS 50 and the TDS 150 both pre-slx. I've never tried the less expensive models.
guess it just depends on what need from your setup.
