1  Ceriatone / Overtone / OTS Pilot Light on: February 18, 2014, 08:10:47 PM
Has anyone found a suitable replacement for the pilot light that come sin the OTS? I've seen people post this one: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Shin-Chin/R9-63L-RED-6V/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtEjy7lsqBi5VSxz%2fhgbEJYtFHrvdeCx%252b4%3d

Does this one work well or does anyone know any better options? Thanks.

I don't think you'll be seeing this guy around anymore.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm going to try to get the PI right first. I'm going to try a different tube first and then go from there. The clean isn't great, but it's much louder than the drive. If the tube doesn't fix the PI problem where is the first place i should look? Thanks again!

Pin 1: 207V
Pin 3: 2.04V
Pin 6: 210
Pin 8: 1.95V

V2

Pin 1: 214.4V
Pin 3: 2.03V
Pin 6: 217V
Pin 8: 2V

V3

Pin 1: 184V
Pin 3: 86V
Pin 6: 373V
Pin 8: 86V
5  Ceriatone / Overtone / Low voltage. Help!? on: August 29, 2013, 12:15:43 AM
Hey guys. I just finished up a Ceriatone OTS HRM with Classictone transformers. I'm trying to work out a few kinks. The main one being the overdrive volume is way low and sounds like crap. I started checking voltage s and noticed that pin 1 on V2 was way low. Here's what I'm getting on V2:

Pin 1: 90
Pin 3: 3.8
Pin 6: 224.5
Pin 8: 1.7

Can you guys point me in the right direction on what to check? I'm relatively ignorant when it comes to this. I've only built one other amp before. So explain it to me like a 5th grader. Thanks for any help!

6  Ceriatone / Overtone / Classictone Power Transformer question on: August 08, 2013, 01:19:02 AM
Hey folks. I'm finishing up my Ceriatone OTS HRM and I'm trying to figure out which wire goes to which output tube. Here is the wiring diagram for the transformer. http://www.classictone.net/40-18009.pdf

Is there any way to tell other than hooking it up and seeing if it squeals? Thanks.

Congratulations !

May I ask..which cab/speaker are you going for?

Sorry I didn't see your comment before! I've got a WGS ET65 I'm going to put in it. I don't have the cabinet yet, but I'm going to be ordering from Amplified Nation. http://amplifiednation.com/D-Style%20Cabs.htm   Probably going to go with a 1x12 cab.

It's a kit. The last amp I built was about 8 years ago. I gotta get back in the swing of things.

Titles says it all. I can't wait to get it in so I can start. I still have to get tubes, a speaker, and a cab. This forum has been a big help already. Thanks.
