Hi
What is involved in running EL34's in a HRM, any mods needed and Biasing etc..
I really like the sound JD0x0 is getting, sounds a bit on the Bonamassa side of things to me.
Cheers

at least make a pencil mark on the trimmers to to indicate the current settings, before you start dialing them.

I wish I had done that before I started messing around with them

A friend of mine bought over an old Mullard yesterday and we put it in V1 in my HRM50.

All I can say is Mullard ECC83s in V1 = WINNER.

It smoothed out everything and had the best warm tone in both clean & lead.

Hi Tommy
The C-Lator is Nik's version of a D-Lator.

He released it a few months ago.

Cheers

I have a HRM and found that with the Kleinulator in the loop of my amp it is less toppy and smoother sounding with or without fx plugged into it.

It's not a massive difference but do I prefer it in the loop and plug it in regardless of running fx or not.

Also I found fx pedals such as delay & chorus etc... are more transparent sounding.

Having said that I am just about to purchase a C-lator kit

I'm now running a 4x12 with WGS ET-65's with my HRM50.
It sounds huge and only slightly heavier and easier to lift than my old 2x12 cab.

What I am using is
V1 = JJ 803s
V2 = JJ 83s
V3 = Sovtek LPS
V4+5 = JJ 6L6's

I'm still experimenting but it is getting closer to the sound I want.
I will be ordering a C-Lator kit in the next 2 - 3 weeks so it will be interesting to see what eveyone is using there
