I have a Kleinulator. I just ordered the loose parts to stick them in a 19 inch rack. The stadard box is fairly big. If you use a rack anyway, it might be something to think about. Please post some pics when you've done it, if I end up going for a K then it will have to go into a rack mount unit.

That's really quite beautiful, hywelg. did you make the cabs yourself or did you buy them somewhere? Also is the speaker cab 1x12 or 2x12. Thanks! Thank you for your kind comments. I did indeed make the cabs myself. The speaker cab belongs to a Fender Twin that I split into a head and speaker cab, though it sits very low to the floor and I'd prefer something taller so I've got a vertical 2x12 being made at the moment which will replace that one soon. That will have a EVM-12L and a Vintage30 in it. I would also like another OTS to put in a combo but I really will have to sell some of my other amps first!

Looks like i need a buffered loop. The chandler unit is a very good delay, comparable to an echoplex the delays are that smooth. The digitech units they are not up to the job for me. The other things I need to run are a tremolo unit in the loop. The rest can go into the front end. Thanks Nick Other have reported here that the g-sharp works well in the loop without a Kleinulator. I hope thats true since I now have one on order, should be here this week sometime!. I was considering a BBE sonic maximiser but maybe not now, especially if its not so good on the OD channel and you can't footswitch it.

I built my own OT from Niks kit and there wasn't anything like that in there. Get the OT back out and if it came from there you should still see the other end of the wire still attached to something. Same with Kleinulator.

Are you aware that changing V3 tube requires to set the PI trimmer? Really not necessary. I don't think Nik even balances the PI tube before sending an amp out, I think he just sets it to 12 o'clock. My amp tech set mine with a scope but said if I change the tube it'll be fine and not to worry about it.

I guess if the amp is ON standby then its OFF is you try to play anything. Simply put, if both switches are down, when standing in front of the amp leaning over, pull the right hand power switch UP first followed by the right hand StandBy switch a minute later.

Based on a couple of guys reports on these forums, I've got a g-sharp arriving next week. Won't get chance to try it at rehearsal volumes for a week or two though. Will report back when I have.

One more thing. Would it be bad to use one tube of a different barnd? I have JJ's, they don't make the LPS tube as far as I can tell. You can use any brand of valve. Some have different audio properties than others Based on whats been noted here I'm going to try every variant of the 12a_7 series in V2. I've currently got a 5751 in the there and prefer it to a ax7. Maybe an ay7 will be better still! I'm very glad I moved the OD trimmer to the rear panel, It really would be a pain taking the chassis out of the case very time.

I'm aware that CorelDraw produces PDF's, however a PDF won't allow you to turn off layers one by one. As a PDF it shows way too much information, its a mess, in Draw you just turn off those layers you don't need to see. I need to turn it into a multipage document rather than a multi-layer document in order for the PDF to be readable. When I get time........
BTW the correct way to convert to PDF is via the Publish To PDF from the file menu. There is no PDF option in the Save As drop down, hasn't been since at least v12, maybe earlier.
