American Style / 5E8A Tweed Twin / A Big Gap Filled in the Ceriatone Line Of Fender Amps
|

Hi Nik,
Just wanted to say well done for adding this amp to your lineup. I suspect it may go on to become one of your best sellers!!
Couple of questions I have: would it be possible to have an effects loop put into the circuit so that I could add an external reverb device? Does the faceplate have to be purple?
Overall though, congrats and thanks for bringing yet another classic amp (in fact possibly THE classic Fender amp) into the price range of us normal people..!!

Keef uses the high-powered 80-watt 5F8a.
This is the Low Powered Tweed Twin, as currently used by Clapton (though Clapton's are built to an altered schematic by John Suhr himself).
They may have used to be, but I've read in several different interviews with his guitar tech, Lee, that he now sues the Fender Custom Shop model off the shelf.

Hi guys,
No-one seems to be talking about the new 5£8A Twin clone Nik's brought out. Will there be a thread for it starting in the Fender section on here?
Looks like a belting amp to me, and is likely to be a future purchase of mine...though I do wish the faceplate wasn't purple!! Seems to me that it would look a whole lot nicer still if it had a black faceplate with black knobs (just like an OTS really). Nik, if you're reading this, would it be possible to have an effects loop added into the amp so that it could have reverb in it??

Hi Nik,
Sounds like a good business decision to me!! The more products you offer and the better known you become, the more people are going to want to take up your time. So at that point you are right to focus on what you do best - outstanding amps at very affordable prices (even given the cost of shipping heavy transformers!!).
As for the "Buy American" sentiment in the States, I would just like to mention that in the UK the sentiment seems to be "Look for the best quality at the best price" there is no stigma attached to buying an amp/guitar from the far-east, in fact it seems to me that people give you credit for actually looking for a good deal on a quality product!!
So keep doing what you're doing, you do it very well.
Regards
Adrian

+1 for this.
Vax AC30 and Fender AB763 are the 2 glaring holes in the Ceriatone product lineup...

Anyone tried TAD 6L6WGC's in their OTS?
I was told a while back that these are what Two Rock use in their amps so figured they must be pretty good!!

Hi Guys and Gals,
Please could someone just confirm something for me; If you used a TC Nova Reverb in the loop of an OTS you DON'T need to use a Kleinulator, is that right?
Thanks
You need to see this... http://ceriatoneforum.com/index.php?topic=845.0Ah thanks, stopped looking when I found the thread we're in..!! Looks like I know which Reverb pedal I'll getting when I order my OTS. Counting down til payday now to have the money to place my order... 10 days to go!!
