As far as I know using FET simulate resistor is not a must... but if you want to be "consistent" with the ODS design, that resistor is used to replace the load, power section have with the FET. I think this resistor will affect you B+ voltages a little...

I've seen 150K or 220K used in there... but you better use at least 2W resistor... that resistor can get very hot

Did you see this?

It's not exactly what you want but still, it might help a bit.
I tried it with my OTS and the jump is a little smaller but it's still a boost.

What every you do on the V2 tube... the clean would not be affected.
If you do something on the V1, the OD will feel that.

OD Level and Ratio are OD only, so clean will stay "clean".

I'm glad this works for you...

As far as I know many people use the trimmer just to find what value they like and than use the resistor instead.

Hey it's HRM...

...I don't care if it's green  Grin Grin

Just joking  Wink
do you have a matching cab for that beast?

I think this jpg will help you with your questions...

Nice build... did you do it?
What kind of trannies do you have in there?

Looks good.

Cool.... do you have a picture taken from the top?

Forgot to mention LNFB  Tongue
Well that switch is very subtle... what you get is a slight (just a little) boost and maybe some more bass and hi end is getting through. Like I said very subtle mod... don't expect to much with that mod.
584  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OK guys, this is my layout... on: May 02, 2009, 08:49:02 PM
mcinku: you got all nice little things in there!

Smart move on the PT primary selector. Think I'm gonna do that one also. (I read about it a while ago and forgot...)
The LNFB switch; how does it sound with clean PAB when switched out?

If you're using a  Kleinulator or something, you might want to experiment with the MV cap; I got mine just a bit bigger(33pF).

Thnx for sharing!

Thanks  Wink
Last time I was inside my amp I moved pre OD pot to the back and I currently disconnected the PT selector... I must find another type of a switch... with this one, it's a little dangerous poking inside a live amp. It's to easy to accidentally touch something with that switch wired like that.
Regarding MV cap... I was thinking abut using Push-Pull pot and try some caps.

Search through Pickmasters posts, he's got a mod that puts a pot in the FET input hole that controls the level of the PAB.

Are you sure? I think he's not even using a PAB anymore (I mean D style PAB). What he has is just a level... so it acts like a boost. He disconnected a PAB and wired that pot.
