That's the type I'm looking at getting. I had one back when I had some rack gear back in the day. They seem to work

Yeah how does it sound? I worry mainly about it being too boomy with the bluesmaster at high volume since the BM is a lil more bass heavy like BF fenders than the standard HRM, but then again BF vibroverbs pull it off very well...

How about splitting the difference and making an 85w amp? I'm sure it would have its own unique voice

i was actually originally going to do something very similar, kevster. My original plan was to either put the amp in a head cab and have a 2 speaker enclosure built, either 2x15 with removeable reducer rings. or a cab desiged for a 12 inch driver and a 15 inch driver, or a combo with one of those two options. I still might, i don't *think* too many guys here have run a 15" driver yet, at least not that i have heard. it would be a cool experiment

This is a great topic. I've actually been considering swapping out one of my weber 1265 alnico speakers ( i have a 2x12 combo) in my OTS BM for a brighter ceramic type speaker like an eminence texas heat or similar to bring a little brightness out of my setup. The weber alnico version of the 1265 is not a dark speaker by any means, it is more in the warm category, with the highs smoothed out a bit, I just think that it would be interesting to see how it sounds with a bright speaker in the mix as well

I second that. Also have you tried changing the rectifier out?

Very cool!! That's a cool lookin Ibanez! I didn't have the harmony long before I got a partscaster strat built by the man who owned my local music store, then my black and gold gibson lp custom which was my only for many years.

With all the G.A.S. i;ve been goin thru, i was reflecting on some of the guitars i have had in my day, and though it would be fun if we all shared!, and posted pics if possible!

my first guitar was a plastic Emenee Tiger Toy guitar given to me by my uncle mike. my first electric guitar was a Harmony H802 purchased from Service Merchandise for me by my mother. She has regreted it ever since! Smiley Pics of the guitars (not mine, sourced from the internet) attached

Very cool, Nik!
565  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Moody on: June 22, 2011, 11:36:39 AM
Very true. In *most* cases it would need to be adjusted up at most venues due to the load of all the equipment at the venue
566  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Moody on: June 22, 2011, 09:07:50 AM
I'm wondering if that's why I like mine better in Sag mode. It drops my B+ down to around 430, which should darken it, but since I'm running the 6L6WGB's, everything is a little brighter and the mids are more pronounced and the bass is tightened up, so the perception is it is brighter, especially on breakup. Hmm

So, I traded my old Strat for an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top. It's actually very nice for an Epi. Their quality is coming back up again. I will prolly change the pickups out, but i do that with most of my guitars anyway.
568  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: new member, point me in the correct overtone direction on: June 19, 2011, 08:01:05 PM
Well, what kind of music are you into playing? You made a good start on the OTS and the HRM, though
569  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Moody on: June 19, 2011, 02:33:15 AM
I feel the same way, that's why I picked up the strat again. I may build a guitar with just middle and neck single coil pickups just for that purpose Smiley but then again I used to play jimi and srv and tune down a half step on a les paul too. Smiley

I guess I should clarify. The mod I have just increases the boost from the PAB and gives more drive. You can get good crunchy OD even on the clean channel with the pre volume set at noon with the mega PAB engaged.
