51  British Style / Plexi Lead, Bass, Superlead / Plexi 50 or 100 on: October 31, 2008, 04:15:19 PM
I need to decide.
I play experimental, hardcore, some punk, emo shiete.
I have built and love the jtm50 and it is more than loud enough....the only thing lacking is that bottom end for hardcore riffing and just straight up mean sounding drive.
let me be clear.....i am not looking for high gain metal sound, I like the raw tones of bands like Poison the well, refused and a bunch of bands that use plexi or early jcm800's (2203) I tend to not like the jcm800 tones.....but then again they may have been shiete jcm800's.

heres a link to a lame recording of my band

anyways....opinions?

ha no not yet.
I am prob gonna mod this thing to more plexi 50 specs to get more of a heavy rock sound.
Like changing  the caps to 50/50.
the el34's may be just right i may just need to adjust other values as well
