Sine I got my D-style amps my pedalboard is more or less dormant as well. ...but I just can't sell anything... it took me so long to get the tone which I liked. Nowadays I just use it at home with my Champ.

For more string definition and therefore more cord friendly amp, you need to go with Bluesmaster HRM. Trust me on that one. PS: Welcome to the forum.

The best way is to add another preamp tube and build a proper nonHRM circuit than switch between those. If you do everything with one tube (whic is possible), than you need to compromise a little and perhaps the result will not be the best.
