@Nathan congrats mon ami

@Erwin Obviously that's a dumb remark iof me, but I wonder why you would want the master volume in front of the fx loop. That way it is even harder to get a good balance.

One more question. I have an Option5 Leslie in my loop in front of my reverb (G Sharp). It makes the sound a whole lot softer when I use it. There is no volume on the Option5.
any suggestions?

now you tell me  Grin

I do feel putting the master volume before the fx loop is a design mistake.

I'm sure you'll have a great weekend!
keep me posted. Wanna hear all about the use of your Kleinulator as well plzz. Make sure you have an adapter with a 2.5 mm plug. Be carefull it's not one with reversed polarity.
With mine a regular 2.1 mm Boss type plug didn't fit. I bought a special extension cable to 2.5 mm but it turned out that it switched the polarity as well. Nearly fried my Kleinulator.

Cheers for that info Dave!
I'll try as soon as I get home. Damned work ;-)

tnx Dave

Hmm that makes setting the level of the Kleinulator even more complicated. I wish I had stayed with my digital amp ;-)

I noticed Marin has the new AXE-FX. Blasphemy!
351  Ceriatone / Overtone / fx loop question on: July 03, 2008, 08:51:00 PM
Hi guys
is the master volume after or before the fx loop?
I noticed the master volume influences the level of the reverb (in the loop)
I'm using the Kleinulator.
Thanks!
352  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: level on Kleinulator on: July 03, 2008, 10:29:38 AM
Yeah I would think you need to get the same level as you would get without the Kleinulator.
The problem is that the output and the recovery seem to work together. lowering or raising the recovery has an effect on the output level. So does altering the output pot.

Hi guys

How do I set up the output and recovery on the Kleinulator?

Input is sraightforward (I have a reverb with a level meter).

short impression. After 30 minutes (21.30 is a bit late to make alot of noise)
I use it with a cab with two G12-65's.

Amp was packed well and looks great. Looks good on my Tube Town cab as well. he cab is a little wider. Nik has added the empty tube boxes (JJ's) which is good if you want to replace them. And a Ceriatone T-Shirt cool!

OK the amp
Yoy can do a lot with the cleans. Tonestack is very responsive. Using the deep switch makes an enormous difference (also in volume). I don't doubt I'll be able to get a great sound. Would love to hear other peoples settings. For now I used rock and bright on; deep off.

OD channel needs a lot of attention. if you turn up the gain to much you get a terrible edge (Fizz) on the sound. But there's no need to turn the gain up to much I guess. This is not a high gain amp. Using the booster switch makes the clean sound a lot louder but I feel it also sounds a bit boxy. It depends a bit on how you play I think. It does give a good boost.

This is just a first impression and not a serious one.

I tried to hook up the Kleinulator as well, which gave me a headache. (9v plug isn't standard 2.1 mm and I need to work out hoe to use the output and recovery dials). It does work I could boost the signal going into my G Sharp reverb. No idea how it affects the tone. the teble switches didn't seem to do much. Once again first quick impression.

I was worried a bit about the speakers. I was afraid they would turn out to be to dark and to lack sparkle. I have the feeling there is no problem whatsoever there.

There's so much to set up here (amp fx etc etc and every guitar sounds different) so I have my work cut out the coming weeks.

358  Ceriatone / Overtone / Kleinulator 9v plug on: July 01, 2008, 06:35:55 PM
Hi
a small thing but I have the feeling the 9V connector of the Kleinulatir isn't standard Boss size. Is that right? I need to find a different plug/connector. 2.5 mm? Reverse polarity?

Cheers
Steven
