Sounds to me like I prolly need an OTS like yours...tasty!
I want to be able to switch between an OTS (with 2 X 12"EV's in closed back cab)
& my Super Reverb in the open back cab
At the moment I'm using the Super Reverb as a cut down head (I bought it like that)
with a 2 X 12" Laney slant front cab (sounds surprisingly good with the HH speakers)
I've got a Mojo cab for the Fender, but turns out the previous owner changed the
Super OPT to 4 ohms (which is sorta handy)
Just means I've gotta get four 16 ohm Webers for the Super Reverb cab
When I get the OTS I'll use it with the Laney box and get some EV's

I didn't see much mention made of the differences of the OTS with open or closed back cabs,
or the different responses when using humbuckers or single coils
I only worry because I bought one of those stereo Rivera racks once....it sounded
great with humbuckers, but I could never get a good sound with the Strat

Wasn't the original Boogie a modded Princeton?
I took my BF Princeton Reverb in for service once and Vito said it was putting out over 30 watts
I bought it as a cutdown head (!) put it in a funky old Jansen (NZ) cab & stuck in a 200watt EV..heh
That was a great gigging amp, but it got stolen.

I've got a BF Super Reverb (which I also bought as a cutdown head) I've got a Mojo cab for it,
but I'm currently using it with a Laney "quad shaped" 2x12 box with HH Invaders
The metallers don't like the HH speakers, but I'm surprised how good they sound with the Super,
almost like EV's

I also had a BF Deluxe Reverb when I was a teenager...it used to eat other guy's 60 watters for breakfast

So yeah, I love blackfaces....but I still want an OTS!

Been thinking I'd like to try a tube chassis in my old Pignose 30/60 combo
I miss my old BF Princeton Reverb so something like that would be great
(Although I know Nik doesn't do reverbs)

There's probably lots of clapped out trannie amps with decent cabs that can be had cheaply,
but I suppose the tricky part is having to make a different front plate

I don't know if anyone's collected info regarding chassis sizes, but there must be heaps of cabs
that are interchangable with different chassis'
Those old Randall trannie 2x12" combos for example (which were notoriously unreliable), might
fit a Twin Reverb size chassis

The cab makers might not like the suggestion, but for people on a tight budget who have a
dead trannie combo, it could be an option.

If Nik could work out which is the most common & unreliable trannie combo out there,
he might be able to offer an upgrade package....the 'Gorilla kit'
