All HW mounted... now the wiring starts... finally 

OK I'm building 6L6 Prinzetone and I'm using Vibrolux Hammond replacement trannies. Some serious iron for this little chassis. It took me a lot of time to modify the chassis to fit all this iron.... and also, I decided on using choke too. 

With your little tease, now I can't wait to hear mine... I started building my little Prinze today.
 

My guess would be price...

...Niks philosophy is best quality for fair price. Reverb would definitely increase the price quite a bit.

No offence but your amp looks like a birds nest. No wonder you have noise issues.

The way you should do this is to install the main board first and than solder the leads. This way you can cut the leads to a appropriate length... and also the PT leads are way to long, fix those as well.

 

I got my kit today as well the fun will start soon... 

 BTW do you also have this interesting looking aerovox capacitors on the main board?

it's great amp but to be honest I don't play it much. On the other hand, every time I play that amp, I like it so much. So I guess it's staying with me till the end. 
With 6L6 it can push 26W of clean power which is more than enough to keep up with any average drummer. Actually my band mates would even tell me to keep it down. I have to use OD pedals with this amp for a decent OD sound... if I push it, it's just to loud for a small club.
 

I had some issues with customs office...
...but now everything is cleared and my package is coming tomorrow.

I will redo the faceplate first.... cause I want to build a combo and the faceplate is designed for a head cab.
So it will take some time before I start building.

Anyway... record some clips if you can.

Ika my man I really like your band... you sound so "fluently"... maybe just one criticism...
man if you play suffer music, you better suffer... you need to show some emotions... but not go SRV on me - just a bit more

I built me an Express a while ago but eventually I sold it... man that amp is something else. When you hit that chord with an Express... You better duck for cover... 

I sold it 'cause my style of playing was not in line with that amp.... and I was not ready to convert.
