Yes, I guess you did. Sometimes one can use a site search for older posts. I’ve posted here several times about different loop devices which works better than Dlator-Bludolat-Cilat-Tonesuckulator. Some expensive, some cheap but very good and somehow almost everyone here still obsessed with average series loopolators.
You mean that modified RP series digitech deal. No thanks. I'll stick with a tube buffer and my TC2290. First of all I wasn't asking about buffered loops, so WTF are you talking about. And I hate parallel loops. You know, some here might just have their own idea of what is best.

I was thinking the same thing. Oy veh coulda been a lil less helpful the suhr mini mix and c-lator combo seems to work, also xotic makes a parallel/series buffer in a pedal format which could compliment the c-lator as well I would like to try the Surh setup to see what that's about. But IMO with what I have experienced so far, the less in the loop the better. I should have said in the earlier post that between the two (Klein & C-lator) the C-lator is better.

I have it on good authority that the C-lator is the way to go.
Not really. There are other, better ways. But I won’t tell ya. Find it yourself. OK, I'm sitting here trying to figure out what is the purpose of this post. Also how does it help the OP and his question. What did I miss? Are you referring to the Surh MiniMix combo deal?

Thanks for reply. I was hoping for more pedalboard friendly setup to be honest. How good is the Kleinulator? Is it on par with the C-Lator or the Fuchs Verbrator, which are both tube-driven. Is there much of a difference in tone? SERIOUSLY??
All I'm going to say should be taken in the light of the fact that I'm presently putting together a parts order to build a C/D-lator. BUT.....the Kleinulator does do what it's suppose to do. And is a great improvement over nothing. I can't compare it to a C-lator, but I have it on good authority that the C-lator is the way to go. Also, I don't know if having it on a pedalboard with long cable runs is a good idea. I sit it on top of the amp. Just something to consider.

They are the same size as a Midi Plug
I don't think so.....None of my regular midi cables fit. Yes, hyweig...easy enough to change out. Just being lazy..... Thanks Strange, I just plugged my "regular" keyboard midi cable in with no problem. Are you sure you're plugging it in correctly? Also, you're using a male connector?

Cool....Do you have any actual photos of finished metal plates? On colors, is this an anodized look or silk screened?

You're OK with powering with no tubes, just always have a speaker/load connected like you did. I asked about the quage wire, because of the problems you were having. You know, I assumed you were trying to solder your connections, but going back to your post, I see you really didn't say this. So have you gotten everything wired now? If not, just take your time and you should be OK.

hmm, how did you wire those 12-65s in parallel? i already wired them to be in series, which was quite the hassle with their tiny hooks so how would wire them parallel. or whats the trick of wiring 12-65s in general (considering their small hooks) Here's a chart. http://www.el34world.com/charts/Charts.htmDoing them in parallel won't be any harder. What guage wire are you using?

Hey Todd and all, I'm seeing posts from June 1st. Try deleting all your cookies, temp internet files and history in your browser and see if anything changes. I'm not sure what's going on. So you're saying your work systems/server had a virus?

I'm with you guys... all the way. bring back the kits, bring back the kits.... Am I just reading something different into the statement? Nik says he will still sell Pack 1 which is a kit isn't it? If you were going to build one of these amps yourself and you live in UK or US, Pack 1 is what most would buy to reduce shipping charges? What's changed? I'm confused too. He says "However, Pack 1 + Assembly would still be on the menu, for those wanting to use other brand of transformers."I took it that what he meant was that you would be able to buy a completed amp without transformers, and just didn't state it more clearly. But, I could be totally wrong. Todd, I saw you said you talked to him today. Do you know what exactly will be available come June?

++++1, Agree totally!!
For me, the "barebones" alternative for the future doesn't appeal to me at all. It's the caps and resistors, etc. that are hard to source or just not cost friendly when not bought in bulk that are the great aspects of the Ceriatone kits. Those that try to say Ceriatone products are inferior in someway are either jealous, inexperienced or just plain stupid.
Please reconsider.

This is somewhat of a bummer for sure. Actually, I'm not quite sure I understand everything exactly. But, I''m sort of thrown, by the "shitty parts" statement. I know there are a few...um, basically competitors that like to bash Ceriatone, but I would think the large majority of us customers have had nothing but praise for Nik and his stuff. I kind of feel, like I'm being blamed along with the other a-holes. Oh, well I guess the saying, "you don't know what you got until it's gone", might be appropiate for some. For myself the appropriate phrase, is "nothing good seems to last"...

Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Thoughts on the Jazz Voicing?
|
on: May 26, 2011, 02:23:26 AM
|
The Jazz voice is definitely not the Rock voice. But IMO it is a very usable voice. Atleast with my regular HRM 50 w/LNFB switch. I like to use it with LNFB off and "deep" & "mid boost" on. Then with Humbucker/Single Coil combinations and sometimes bright switched on, I get very nice clean sounds for chording, ect. Very likely the nuance would be harder to appreciate in a band situation, but for recording purposes (and just nice "jazz" chords by myself) I like it. Having said this, you can't beat the rock voicing for OD stuff, and just heavy duty rumble.
