I have an Eminence Tonespotter in with my EV at the moment and I don't think, though I don't recall, that that is high enough wattage. I've also got a Emi Texas Heat which is 100w I think, not sure it would be the right speaker for a plexi though.
What I'm asking really is what will give the same tone as a good old greenback but with 75-100watt capability.

I find the clean channel a little stiff, and tight if you know what I mean. I usually use the OD channel with level low for low volume cleans and turn up the level and/or PAB and/or use HB's for more of the D* type tone. Still good at low volumes but way better when wound up of course.

If you could only run your Plexi 50 through one speaker what would it be? I'm just thinking about a 2x12 stereo cab with my OTS driving the EV and the Plexi driving something else.

IF it is wired in you have a very early example and should disconnect it and provide a proper ground.
If you a running a feed to two amps use a proper signal ground lift device such as the Gigrig Humdinger

The O-- that is drawn around a wire near one end is intended to represent the shielding connection. You will find that this always goes to ground somewhere.

Tell me kind sir, what is the origin of the misnomer? Is it some kind of H.A.D. insider joke?
It was your post that first mentioned Class D I agree, although "speaker emulation" might have some bearing on tone.
I know many people on the Gear Page think as I. A Class D style tube preamp would be the greatest invention since the bread slicer.

Funny thing is I’ve just ordered 100w OTS with the mercury tranies and chok two weeks ago, before I knew that we had a builder here in UK.
Which OTS? I am really going to interested in your opinions of the MM's I got them for my Plexi build (which I still haven't started, maybe this weekend now the weather has warmed up a little) but I have no idea whether they are worth the extra.
