The mk2 has several changes which are more important... like no bright cap on the OD level pot, precision style PS board, no LNFB on V1b, hi plate values on the OD channel, different treble pot on the HRM board and some other little tweaks here and there. I would like to know which amp is this suppose to be.

Heater wires are probably the hardest thing to do when wiring the amp (at least for me).... and to do it as neat as Niks guys can do it.... that's another story all together. BTW have you seen this... http://www.brown-note.com/heaters/

Not to mention additional 14.5kg to carry around. ...but I agree, UPS is the best thing to have... but you need a roadie as your slave.
