Thanks for that Doc. Very decent of you. I must admit I have had enough of winter and can't wait to be ON the water not by it (windsurfer with withdrawal symptoms!)

Yes, you got to add a treble bleeder after the HRM tone stack. I have a small circuit, consisting of a 1n capacitor in series with a 150k resistor, added trom the input of the OD master to ground. Easy to mount between pot and bus bar.
Thats a useful one to know. Could you make it easy for us to find again by posting this mod in the Tweaked layout thread since that is a sticky and I for one will be able to find it again if I buy an HRM.

I wasn't sure that the Doubletone version wasn't just a rebadged Ceriatone with a few minor mods. I came upon it following links from another forum which led me to the guy, who turns out to be very near me, who is making the cabs for Doubletone. Seems he's not dovetailing or fingerjointing the cabs http://www.bobkingsbury.com/musical/doubletone1.htm, but there are photos of the doubletone amp there. No gut shots to be seen but the photo of the chassis rear faceplate makes me wonder. £1800 is fair for a genuine 'from the ground up' new amp, but a bit dear for a rebadged modded Ceriatone.

Where in the UK are you? welcome to come and try mine if you like. I'm in Reading Berkshire.
Cheers, but I don't need convincing Just need time to put one together (Plexi50 to finish first, then Warmoth strat repray/rebuild to complete)

but because I have 20 cm diameter beam absorbers (not the beam blockers) on my 2x12 cab’s grill
Interesting. I read the whole thread on TGP that Jay Mitchell started and have fitted his type of diffuser to my DC-30 1x12 combo and to my 4x10 closed back. I've not really had much chance to test them fully in a gig situation, but the combo is much less beamy, though it has lost a little top end, so I probably can use a slightly thinner foam.

I suspect you don't like me because I play scales with 2 more notes in them. You might like the same scales, if you gave them a chance.
That is the sort of provocative comment that is unwelcome, unnecessary and just plain rude.

PLease tone down your rhetoric yos. You are trying to incite a response in order to have a flame war. Not appreciated on here. This is not tgp and to my knowledge no thread has had to be taken down because of this sort of nonsense.
We talk about amps, we talk about tone. We DO NOT demean other peoples opinions.
Don't rise to it Doc, please.
