I like the Verbrator it sure changes the amp sounds a bit, making it more balanced and less shrill. Only I just got this awful noise through the speakers when the Verbrator is on sounds like a broken tube or so...
Verbrator in a parallel mode should not change the tone at all !!!
The verbrator in parallel mode will change the tone because it's only the FX that are inserted into the send / return that are placed in Series or Parallel. Even in Parallel mode, the 'dry' signal from the OTS will pass through the Cathode Follower and Gain Makeup stage. Whether it's a dramatic change in tone.....that's a different thing and will depend upon how hard you drive it.
No, it does not. Properly built cathode follower should not change signal’s spectral character (tone). It can change signals amplitude (volume, gain) but well tuned Verbrator does not. Before I bought one I’ve run it through this simple true bypass switching device (verbrator’s all dials must be on zero). None of my amp’s (50W & 100W OTS And Bludo ) tone or volume changed within the range from 1 to 7 on amp’s master. After 7, signal gradually changes shape from sine to squareish. I never use amps Master higher than 5 in live situations.

Hi Doc, nice to see you back. Do you have any experience with 10's?.
I've got a 4x10 with 4 Jensens P10r's. I'd like to change two of them for something a little warmer. Thinking about Celestion Greenback 10's or something from the Eminence range. I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Hi Hywel, Thanks for asking my friend. Yes, we’ve made couple of stereo 2x10 and 4x10. For high power amps (100w and up) we really liked Fane alnico axiom AXA10 and Celestion Gold 10s. Worm with great mids and sweet highs. For medium power - weber alnico blue dog 30s and NeoMag 10s are great https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/
@ Pickmaster I think the newer models of the 535Q are true bypass or have a similair solution.
No It is not. Here is a letter from Derek Jones:
Hi Dr. Ika,
Ok, by doing this you will void your warranty and there could be a loud “pop” while switching the pedal on first time. You just need to remove R42 and R41.
Cheers,
Derek

Really nice tone and playing. Well done with V2 snabers and the slope resistor, I guess it feels more sponge and pick sensitive. How you describe the difference in tone and feel between EL34s vs 6L6s.?
Thanks for all the great feedback. Anyone try the Fuchs D-lator with built in Reverb???
If you are talking about VERBRATOR then it is parallel/series device with digital reverb. Does no affect tone at all and very handy when only need nice reverb. Does not matter how you set amp’s master it always sounds great, very tweakable! Works well with other FXs in both settings.
Jensen neo and Jensen jet Tornado neo are different speakers !!! Tornado is very balanced with great bass and smooth top and, very punchy and articulate (as hopefully you hear from the video clip).
Neodymiums are great speakers, my favorites are Jensen Jet Tornado 100w 98db and Celestion Century 80w 102db. Very fast and punchy response. They are great in 2x12 or even better in 4x12.
This blue cab is 2x12 Centuries and weights only 19kg with speakers and built in mics.
This one is Jensen Tornado 1x12 very light but awesome sounding speaker
