Just got one of Erwins D-lators. GREAT!!! There is a difference with my Klein. The unit gives a natural compression which is realy nice. It feels more natural now. It sounds a bit more transparant now.
Erwin was realy helpfull with some adjustments to my OTS as well. He's turning into the Dutch Alexander  Grin

Will do some more testing as soon as the sun is up

I have a Kleinulator (might be getting a Dumbleator  tomorrow)

The Klein takes out some of the brightness. Less harsh. A bit less transparant.
There is a nice thread which compares the Klein and the Dumblator.

Hi guys thanks for your usefull input!

@Erwin. Yeah I know your perculator isn't expensive. it's a lot of parts and a lot of work. can't do the coffee next week :-(  I'm of to France tomorrow for a 2 week holliday. I realy need it.
In case you guys are interested. This is what we'll be driving:

Hi!
I can't build anyting. I can't even solder a guitar cable. A friend of mine made a rack version of the Kleinulator (parts from Nik). (I only drilled holes etc )
I guess I could do some cutting LOL. what would happen if I remove the 220p?

The Intellifex is great cause it has an internal mixer. the clean signal stays analog and goes right through. The digital  effect(s) can be mixed in. So in that sense the reverb is kinda parallel. (obviously the Klein isn't)
I think I would like the Leslie to remaim serial though.

172  Ceriatone / Overtone / Russian Radio on: September 02, 2009, 02:24:40 PM
Is it because of the Sovteks I',m getting Russian radio on my OTS?  Grin

seriously. what causes this? can it be avoided?
173  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Kleinulator/Dumbleator on: September 02, 2009, 01:46:00 PM
LOL no. I allready own a good espresso machine.
Seriously. I think the tube version is probably a whole lot better. but a fairly pricy option. (i'm avoiding the word expensive)

But do you need a fx loop to:
a. hook up fx?
b. alter your tone?
c. a bit of both?

if it's mostly option a., my " trick" would work. Lees weight. less cables less alteratiin of tone (only when I use the leslie)

Hi Guys

Like most of us I'm constantly thinking about my guitar sound. I have a few days of and I was a/b testing with and without my my Klein. I came to the conclusion that the Klein takes away some of the high end mellows the sound, but somehow also levels the sound and takes away some of the characteristics of my instruments. Might also be caused by the added cables and fx. Not quite sure.

I use an Intellifex which doesn't need an fx loop and a Dynacord cls222 leslie which does need the Klein fx loop. I was thinking why not have the Dynacord moddified a bit so it works with the fx send and return of the Ceriatone. This way I would loose the Klein.

Share you views please

cheers

that means soldering. I can't do it.  No idea how much work this is?

I do agree with Erwin that the Klein seems a bit "stiffer" and less trasparant then his Dumbleator. An experiment would be fun

I don't have a Dumleator, but I'd be willing to visit Erwin ofcourse.

Hi
I bought one with the same speakers.
It's a nice light cab (can be converted to open back by removing part of the backpanel. It's strong enough for regular use. If you go on the road and your roadies are used to through stuff, I'd recommend a filght case though :-)

Service was excelent and friendly.

I'm no expert when it comes to cabs so I can't give you an expert opninion about the sound quality. )I don't have anything to compare it with either)
Sounds fine by me though.
