Maybe it all sounds a bit weird, but these thoughts are just in my head;)
You should et out more Just kidding. You could try a different capacitor value in the presence circuit in order to change the frequency point of same.

I ordered my OTS 50 without Trannies in order to reduce shipping weight and thereby reducing shipping costs. Instead I used Hammond PT and choke. For OT I used a Mercury Magnetics that previously had ordered for a 59 Bassman Ri combo. I am satisfied with the sound, but can obviously not comment on how they compare to Nik's transformers. For my latest build - a Dual High Plate/HRM - which I have sourced myself, I have used a set of old Partridge Tranformers from an old 70 Laney amp. I have 580volts on the two EL34 output tubes and it probably delivers 80 watts. Its way superior to my 50 watt ceriatone. I hope my reply might inspire you even if it does not really answer your initial question.

who has them? not necesarily a clean/light OD chord progression as i am thinking rock rhythms - like 70's riffing and whatnot.
i've heard plenty of clips of the OTS with super saturated singing leads, and rhythm/chording on the clean channel.
i'd like to hear how it handles rock riffing, maybe even some more modern genre's too. i'm sure that the amp can reach that territory, i've just never heard it recorded.
The reason why you rarely hear ACDC/Foreinger/Free/Bad Company -type of riffs recorded with Dumble style amps, is probably because Dumble amps are not particularly suited for crunch chords. The Dumble sound is too compressed for Chrunch chords IMHO. Go for a dryer amp/preamp like a Marshall/SSoldano/KRANK or whatever in that ballpark if you want crunch.

When you put tolex on a cabinet, you usually let it cover 1-2 inches on the inside (from front and back). Therefore you dont see the rivets. Don't worry about it.

Would a modification like this also work for the clean channel? (to get rid of the fizzyness with pedals?)
Yes it would. However, try a trimmer in series with a capacitor in order to find the sweet spot. When you have found a sound you like, simply measure the trimmer value and put a an ordinary resistor of same value in the circuit. If you amp is rather new. Have a little patience with the amp. It takes 50-100 hours to break in, which in effect will soften the tone. You can simulate this with the above mentioned trimmer. And adjust the trimmer on a weekly basis until the amp has settled in. Pretty smart huh?

Hi Claus, You're probably right. My HRM has a built in dumblelator. No fizzy sound with it. So you're basically have a fixed ground bleed?
Yes, exactly I use 1n + 150k in my HRM and 1n + 180k in my high plate non-HRM I have found the values by trial and error comparing with the sound of having the dumblelator in the circuit.

The HRM has a pretty fizzy OD high end. Most of us are attracted to the Dumble type amps because of Robben Fords cremy sounds. However, remember that Robben Ford use a a Dumbleator (in series mode) connected with long connection wires to/from his TC2290. This effectively trims offs OD highs.
Alternatively to a dumbleator (in series mode) I use a 1n capacitor in series with a 150k resistor soldered to OD master pot in and ground. This trims off the fizzy highs in my HRM amp.

its simply a 9 volt hatch which are used on guitar pedals (like T-REX) and even guitars (like EMG equipped ones) from time to time

Nuff said I still prefer JJ ECC83S in all three positions, tried EH ECC83, but the draw less current and consequently sounds brighter and thinner. I found this to be a general rule with the tubes I have i my old drawer, counting (OLD! not NOS) Mullards, Brimer, Siemens and GE7025. Dumble seeker, when you try out different preamp tubes, try to measure the plate voltages (pin 1 to ground / pin6 to ground) and see if find the same connection betweeen brighter tubes, showing higher plate voltages. Could be interesting with a little field study.

Yeah the 100w has big fat lows whilst the 50 just doesn't feel the same. Of course some prefer 50w just out of taste and in this case to save a few $.
and the extra weight
