JeffreyB,
Ah..the August logos...lol. I build these cabs for customers here in Japan and I was trying to decide on a name for my little hobby business. August lasted for a month or two....sorry...and I have since settled on a different name. Backwards.....!?! Bite your tongue!!....Lefty power.....lol. How did it happen?? A very stupid decision when I about 12 years old!!!!!
That is a Honduras mahogany body strat I built a few years ago. Even amongst my higher end guitars it remains one of my tone favorites.
I've pretty much given up on the view of D'lite VS Overtone. They are both great amps and I use both side by side for gigs now.,,one for clean one for OD. I decide which will be which by flipping a coin...seriously.
I'm almost finished a very puuurty head and 1x12 cab for the Overtone. I'll post pics this weekend.

No, that is the amps component layout. There is no manual but the folks here can help you if you have any specific questions. The controls are labeled on the layout and the amp faceplate pretty much resembles any Dumble ODS control panel. There are plenty of pics on the www. As for the 3 internal trimmers......2 of them I wouldn't bother adjusting and the OD trimmer is set to taste.
Warning!! Be very aware that there are voltages that can KILL you in there so DO NOT go poking around unless you are absolutely sure you know what you're doing.

That is the concensus with these amps but don't forget the Overtone has a lot of flexibility and can cover a lot ground tonewise with a bunch of different speakers. The only speaker that I didn't really like was a V30 I tried for interest sake a while back. But Greenbacks, Emi Wizard, RW&B, Tonespotter, and Sammi's all sound great.

My Zen answer would be......yes! Seriously, try both if you can. A 1x12 with the same width as the matching head can sound a little boxy. In a wide body combo a single sounds great. A 2x12 is more to carry but almost always sonicly better.

Great looking head. Who is she?? Dorthy the clone!?! Bob makes some beautiful cabs. Keep me abreast with the iso-cab build (if you don't mind).
As long as I'm tearing the concept of Trademarks a new one, I might as well call her Bozo the Clone - lol. I heard from Bob last night that my Iso Cab will be completed by week's end. Since he has a full-time day job as well, it may take a little longer. Ha...Ha.....Bozo.....l like it. Makes me think of Dale Bozio. She was that hot bleach blonde singer from the group Missing Persons popular in the 80's.....big amps, big hair, and big b##bs.....yummm

Check it out here. http://vasinguitaramp.tripod.com/id4.htmlHe also has some interesting Fender clone chassis kits on ebay. I might have to pic one of those up to try out with a rehouse of my severely beat up Super Reverb chassis. Item number is 320207423520 If that D clone chassis is the same as yours be aware that you may have grounding issues as I think he annodizes the chassis. Depending on the type and degree of annodizing you might be ok with scaping and sanding a clear spot but most likely (to be certain) you should think about drilling and tapping and installing ground lugs.

Roe,
I'm following your build very closely. Please give me a tone report as soon as the amp settles in. This one will probably be my next build as a I have a spare set of trannies that would be perfect. I'm assuming Nik supplied the boards for you. Give me the details of the build when you get a chance.
Thanks
ChrisL

Pedals are great with the Overtone but to be honest the OD is so good that all my dirt pedals have been in sleep mode..lol....still on the board but idle. DD20 in the loop is all I need with this amp. Remember everyone if you use the loop...patch length cables only and don't load the loop with effects.

Ya, its the ONLY boogie I would ever consider owning.....sorry boogie lovers. Actually, the Lonestar is a great sounding amp aside from reliability issues. It's so non-boogie though that it barely counts.
