Smoking! I don't want to say "I told you so...." (to play around with it for a couple of weeks). How are you recording the guitar? It still seems a bit distant? Marin

I tried just a MXR Carbon Copy delay in the loop alone tonight, sounded wonderful. It didn't mess with the gain structure of the amp near as much as the TC rack unit. I'm now on the hunt for a reverb stomp box. Any suggestions?
Hi Jake, what do you mean by "messing up the gain structure of the amp"? I have been using a Boss pedal and I was thinking of getting a TC-Major or something similar. Can you adjust the return signal gain on your rack? thanks marin

Does this qualify as "clean"?? Sure does Marin - beautiful tone! It's great to see this side of the overtone - clean, fenderish but with a lot of sustain. Was this the clean channel with the level up a bit or the overdrive channel with the OD down low? Also, was this through the Jensen or the Celestion? This was with the OD channel (no PAB, DEEP, BRIGHT or ROCK) with volume around 6, OD around 2 and Ratio around 2. Master was at 1 and Presence at 3. I used the Celestion which I much prefer. thanks to all for the nice comments. M.

Hey Marin...Kool tone!!! Is the OT stock or did you tweak it a little?
Stock....I'm not really a tweaker...but I might give it a try one. Actually, my formal education has been in electronics, but I have never really practiced much in that sense. Marin

thats a REAL Dumble. Thats a great LP and Larry is at his best. Actually, the Overtone does come closer to the Larry tone than it does to the Robben tone. M. Marin, Your such a fine player , I thought you would appreciate that, and I also wanted to ask what tubes you are using, I am thinking of some EL34's, and what are you using for preamp tubes, v1, v2, v3, am I saying that right? JeffreyB-how is it going with your tone thing Hey, what I am wondering is: why do you want to go for EL34s? The amp is pretty brown sounding for an 6L6, especially with the stock Tungsol tubes. M. I know a guy who bought a glaswerks with EL34s. It's INCREDIBLY loud. Too loud for most clubs or studios IMO. If anything, I'd like a version with 6V6 tubes or lower powered mains to bring it down to 30 watts like fuchs does with the SLX 30 I just want the option to try them. I love both EL34 and 6l6's, would even like to try KT66 tubes, but nothing is written in stone and you are right it sounds good with the 6l6's. I am not even close to the player you are but nonetheless tone is what I want and that is why I want to try this amp, you sure sound great and I am excited about getting mine whenever that day arrives. Marin play some more clean with your strat or tele, preferably the strat. What pick ups do you have? I'll try to put something together. When you say "clean" what level of clean do you intended? Sort of jazzy clean like Benson or mild overdrive clean like Larry C.? thanks Marin
