Just made an Overtone S&M. Clean channel is great, OD is nasty, woofly, farty, a terrible sound. Any ideas on what it could be.

I have an Overtone Special kit with Hayboer transformers that has been waiting to be built for nearly two years and now is the time to get around  to it. Problem is that since the first version came out there have been many variations. Which one should i go ahead and build and are there many component differences say between my three contenders:

OTS 50
HRM 50
Bluesmaster 50.

The FET is not something i would find any use for. Would it be possible to convert that into a Treble Booster?
