SDuck and other HRM owners.....Why did you choose the HRM versus the other models?

Has anyone with an HRM adjusted the internal post overdrive tone stack and if so what did you do to it and was it easy to do and did it have the impact you were looking for?

Thanks guys for the info. Cool
Amp is working great, the user is just a little slow.
This amp is so different than a simple non master vibro-king fender with a tube screamer in front.
This master volume clean channel is extrme clean absoulutly no break up on the power amp., never had an amp like this.
I will probably use the pedal with the red light on most of the time and use th green as a  boost.

Its interesting to turn the gain pot on the back way down and use the drive and level and volume to get a differnt dynamic..than cranking up the gain pot on the back.Have to experiement to see if its diff.
For a "fenderish" or srv hendrix stone with my strat...I turn the presence to 8 or so and the treble up to 7 or so and the mid switchoff. Nice versatile amp, takes some time to get it and I still dont but this is a really awesome piece of work, esp for the money. Dont need a tube scereamer ,but it is interesting to use only the tube screamer with the master or clean channel.

20  Ceriatone / Overtone / Basic Question on my HRM 50 watt - Help on: December 23, 2010, 03:24:18 AM
I recently got a new HRM from Nik.

Basic question. The power amp "master " volume . what does it do? WHen i turn off both lights on the footswitch...it engages the power amp. Does this master ( I dont know why it says master... the only thing it controls is the power amp volume..it has no effect on the other volumes or drive or gain.) so it runs totally clean   no gain or over drive.
When I engage the red and/or green light on the pedal...this power amp "master" volume control has no impact on the amps volume... Is this normal or is the amp malfunctioning??

I got my HRM 50 from Nik ready to plug and play a week ago and have about 5 hours of playing time on it. I bought a hermida 1x12 closed back with ported front  cab and put an EVM-12L in it. My general impression is this amp is a great product.  Incredible sustain and lead channel. Not sure about head room yet or how to use all three footswitch positions with regard to just the super clean power amp on and no gain Its chrystal clear. Im not using any effects at all yet and havent dimed it yet. Its sounds better than any other amp Ive had at low volume
I think a EV12L or a G12-65 is a good choice as Robben Ford uses g12-65s and Carlton and SRV used EVM 12Ls....thats good enough for me.THere are used ones available at resonable prices and warehouse speakers makes a g12-65 clone that is 89 dollars.

Hey Thanaks for the Info.
I have a new OTS HRM 50 watt full build by Nik on the way by the end of december. Cant wait.
Here is a photo of the new cab I go that has a EV12L. Its supposed to be here end of the wek. I sold my Vibro-King, Tomemast and marshall 50 watt and 4x 12 tonemaster cab.
Dont have a clator or klator and am curious about the differnece. I guess one is solid state.

Anyone.........Will a 50 watt OTS head be enough power  for a EVM-12L?
24  Ceriatone / Overtone / 50 watt OTE HRM with a 200 watt 1x12 EVM-12L on: November 05, 2010, 03:03:02 AM
I have a new Ceriatone HRM on the way and am searching for a speaker cab and speaker. Will the 50 watt head be effective with the 200 watt EVM12L? SRV used EVMs but he also pushed it with a 200 watt marshall major.
Im also thinking about a hermida 1x12 ported cabinet. I playe small gigs and .....garage jams.
Any comments would be appreciated.

WOW! Nice photos. Your a detail guy.  I just bought a new OTS HRM complete with Cabinet from Nik. Wont get it until december sometime. I guess they have an internal pot I can tweak to change gain or drive intensity.    These amps sound great on you tube videos and the price was right. Im 55 and play a strat. I like SRV. and Robben ford.  It will be interseting to see if I can coax some bluesy SRV tones out of this thing. Im sure I will be happy if its just too brown soundin for that cause I love Robben ford sound too. I got cheap and ordered a Warehouse et-65 nstead of a celestion g12 h65 at 1/3 the cost of a celestion. Good luck in your build and will keep an eye on your progress.
