Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: The Robben Ford-quest; how close can I get on a "standard" OTS?

Told you through YouTube, I love the tones you have on the recent clips. Don't mess with your amp.
BTW. I prefer the 65 speaker in a 212 format, not 112. + You need quite a lot of treble to make it sing.
Humbuckers, JB and 59, that was a long time ago. Robben has used Sakashta/Rolphs or vintage PAFs recently.
Cheers

Check the master volume pot. At "1" the amp shouldn't overpower a bar.
I would recommend using the Dumbleator loop as your master volume control. IMO it sounds better than lowering the amps master.

IMHO of course
I never liked the Klon Centaur for a lot of gain but it's the KING OF KLEAN BOOST! Nothing like it really. Works with ODS and BF Fenders, doesn't really matter.

Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Any Jensen Speaker for HRM Overtone?

IMHO Jensens (tthe vintage series that is) are not suited for Dumble type of amps. I haven't tried the new models from Jensens, maybe some of them are ok. How much do you want to spend? Check lean-business.co.uk for great prices on Celestions. G12-65 are £110 a price. Not too bad.

IMO the TAD 6L6WGC's has less highs and lows than a 6L6GC which has a broader spectrum with lots of highs and lows. With a WGC you get the feeling of more mids but I think they are just more "narrow" sounding. Andy Fuchs uses the TAD 6L6WGC in his ODS amps from a post some time ago.
