My group of 3 tabs is spaced too far apart to allow for screwing the voltage regulator into the hole in the chassis.  I am guessing this is necessary to dissipate heat but I am going to have to go and buy a different spaced mounting tab in order to be to screw the regulator into the chassis.  On one of the build pics it looked like the regulator was free floating in the air.  Can I get away with this?

Has anyone built one of these yet?  The sound clips sound good but it would be good to have a comparative review.  For $65, I am seriously thinking of ordering one.

I am building my amp.  It will likely take a long time at the rate I am going!

You could print one off on high gloss photo paper, then have clear lexan over top.  It would likely turn out well.  I did something similar ages ago with a customized PC.  It would be much harder to do on the back though since not all the holes are round.

Nik sent me my kit with 6v6s.  The newer 6v6s can handle the voltage.   I was reading this thread since half power was something I considered at first but decided to try it this way to start.

I would be curious if there are any schematics of the ones that Dumble built himself or if there are any soundclips.

1.) anyone have high res pics of their build?  i found the few that have been posted on this forum so far.
     i would have thought there would be way more people posting pics for troubleshooting.  (maybe there are less people building these amps than i thought?)
2.) does anyone just leave out the FET input or put something else there as a mod like a second normal input?

Why hasn't anyone mentioned using 6V6 tubes in the amp to bring it down to approx 20watts?
