Thats great!
It should be out next week. We have some holidays here currently (Malaysia has too many holidays, in my book), so will try Tuesday or Wednesday.
Do post clips if you can. I really like this version.
Thanks!

Hi
If the amp was a kit, check first if the wirings are alright.
But usually, its got to do with settings. The OD trim might be too high, perhaps, and you try to run it with the OD controls too high.
If the OD controls in front are set to very high, you'd have noise.
And testing the amp with you too close with the guitar, that'd bring some noise too.
Maybe try with the controls at 12 o clock first, see how that goes.
And of course, prelims like how the amp is biased should be checked. Do check out the manual thats on the website?
Thanks!
Nik

Hi
Sorry to hear this, but I am indeed in touch with Jon.
Jon
My advise to do anything to the amp stops with your saying you do not have the skills to do it. I will not advise to go further, that is why I asked you to take to a tech to do it. Not to just bias - since the amp was played for a bit with the tubes not biased, they could have been real hot, and thus could be damaged. So the tech can check it, and see if anything else is amiss.
I am not sure what else is expected - I know I should not be asking you to check voltages or what not here, since you said so that you dont have the means to do it (you made it real clear on that part)
Any other company will ask you to do same after the amp has been operated wrongly, there is no other way around that.
If not sure about what the manual says, I am just an email away to answer whatever question you might have.
If you're more comfortable to ask question via this forum, I can do that as well. But instead of answers within less than a day with emails (usually within minutes or a few hrs at most), you might need to wait a few days, as I don't come here that often (faster on the emails).
Thanks!
Nik

Website, Store / Ceriatone.com / New amp - Hot Rodded British Chupacabra
|

Guys, A new amp is up. It's a hot rodded british style that should get most the 80s rock and metal tones, and even more modern metal tones. You can still switch it to classic 60s style. Really meant for humbuckers, this one. I thought of including spandex pants with purchase of the amp instead of t shirts, but spandex is out of style here currently And oh yeah, bedroom playing is really possible with this one, while still getting lots of good distorted tones. Individual bias - now possible to use mismatched old tubes you saved under the bed! Will get clips posted as soon as possible! Thanks! Nik

Indeed so, the EV is pretty heavy.
Anyone tried the amp with one of those new lightweight magnets?
Thanks!

Hi, Thats cool Franc. As for the flames, there's no need, let it be fun for all. I know this 2010 is the year of the short fuses (not just here, but everywhere), but this forum should not be about harsh words, like other places. Go gentle. You might not know the other guy is going to be your father in law, for example.... Thanks! Nik

Guys! Hehe... Roe's got it right! I like the gain channel. It does metal even! Pics are up on my website for the amp (inside pics and what not). So check it out... Sorry abt the wifey - I have been thinking to partner up with a florist chain. This way, we can also provide the service, and can try to deliver the flowers around same time amp arrives! Thanks! Nik

Hi seeker
I think it usually needs to be hosted somewhere?
How big is the file?
Maybe if OK, you can email to me, and I can upload to my website, and then will link from here for people to see.
Thanks!

Hi
Our BB has bias vary type tremolo. Ie like the brown vibroverb, for example.
The original BB does use a transistor there.
The bias trem was, perhaps at the time we released the BB, all the rage, and thus why it was done that way.
Or maybe I gave up on looking for the original type FET when I wanted to do it. I remember ordering something (J174 if I recall??) but they took so long to arrive that I just gave up.
Usually, new amps are done with the 1st ever model already sold to someone, hence the pressure/need to deliver as soon.
Thanks!
Nik
