Nice post Tone Control.
Its hard to find clips of the Bluesmaster.  I had a hrm 50 watt and thought it was incredible but the clean channel wasnt for me.
SO I may get a Bluesmaster. I need to get that hendrix, or at least a touch of it on the clean channel with slight a return  breakup if 6 was 9 as in little wing or bold as love with a univibe....and get some of that Dxumble sound when Im in that mood, cause I cant aFord robben  two amps. Do ya know waht im saying?

I will take one if it has a 1/2 power switch without hurting the spirit too much.....

Wilcox,
You should be ashamed of yourself hurting your amps feelings!!Get an AB Pedal.
4  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: HELP!!! Bluesmaster coming soon... need opinions! on: September 23, 2011, 01:22:26 AM
You cant go wrong with a Hermida 1x12 ported cab and the EVM-12L which is what I have. I had an HRM 50 watt but sold it and may get the Bluesmaster.
As a college grad I would also suggest you sell all music equipment immediatley. Stay focused 100% of the time on Wink your studies and forget the blues, drugs women and rock an roll. LOL.
5  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OTS Ford Model vs HRM BM clean channel on: September 17, 2011, 07:05:08 AM
Thanks Gregg. Appreciate your comments.
I have a 1x12 hermida ported cab, sealed back with an EVM 12L.Sold my HRM 50 watt so am looking forward to getting a Ford 50 or the HRM Bluesmaster. Sold my tom anderson classic type strat:(....economy was killin me. So am prolly gonna get a Suhr strat as well. The Tom Andersons are great too.
Do you have the stock transformer in your amp? If I wanted to upgrade to an Merc Mag transformer does Nik do that?
Thanks,
Jack

Nice clips!
How are you guys and or some of these geetar players on youtube doing these videos?
I have an amp, a shure 57 mic, an audio interface and a recording software program Ive not even studied yet and dont really want to.I see guys on youtube micing their amps and wearing head phones. Im trying to figure out the simplest way so I dont have to learn the recording software system. I tried it once with my cheap web cam(and no mic, just straight out of my amp) and the sound quailty was really bad. Seems I may have to spend hours and hours studying the recording software system??
Thanks

Appreciate all of your research!
I had a HRM 50 watt. My first D-style amp.
The OD was great . Definitly had gain up the wazzoo if wanted and had a od knob on the rear panel that was like a master/OD trimmer I guess.
The clean channel was too clean for me and did not break up at all. A great clean for traditional jazz player. I sold the amp ,not becasue I ddint like but due to financial stuff. I will soon get another. I think I will end up with the Ford 50 but may go for the bluesmaster. I like to get the clen fendery sonds ala srv/hendrix. I know I should get two amps but will just get a versatile ceriatone. Those d-style solos are too irresistable.
I think ,for me, the HRM may be too gainey. The bluesmaster though would give me the cool clean channel though so tough decision.

Do any of you gear heads have any thoughts on the 183? I just listened to a track on youtube, sweet sound, not heavy like some of the hrm youtube videos. I do like the ojai videos and this ceriatone 183 reminded me of that although I think I recall Nik telling me the Ford OTS is most like the Ojai....Im not sure Im making sense but I havent heard much abou the 183 model.

What would be the difference between the Ford clean channel and the Bluesmaster clean channel straight from the Niks shop?
I listened to a youtube video of Eric Gale with a two-rock and the cleans he got were awesome.Fendery, old Hendrix with an edge but not gainey sounding.

Thanks

What other model were you considering and why did you finally decide on the FM?
The wait is tough.

Nice to hear your story. I bought a new OTS HRM 50watt direct from Nik about a year ago. My first D-style. Incredible amp. Ive had nice Boogies,Fenders and Marshalls. Had to sell it and some other things due to the ecomony, but will get another soon. May try the Ford or the Bluesmaster. Am anxious to get one.
What is your impresson of the OD and the clean channel? Are you going to spring for a D_lator?
11  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OTS Ford Model vs HRM BM clean channel on: September 11, 2011, 04:21:22 AM
Great to hear all you ampheads responses and videos.
Sasquatch...I had a 50 HRM OTS with a Hermida 1x12 closed back frontported cab witha EVM 12L and a TOm Anderson strat(single coils). Sounded great.I imagine humbuckers sound great as well. (Carlton/Ford)Seems they use partial open oval back cabs. I also had a Fender Vibro-King.Awesome amp,but sold it. SO now I only have the 1x12 cab...no amp..no guitar..LOL.  (Out of work architect) Am thinking Im gonna get a 50 watt OTS Ford or a 50 watt HRM Bluesmaster. Any model OTS is gonna put a smile on my face though.THe HRM clean channel would be great for a traditional jazz player...(or put a Tubescreamer in front of it and Im sure it would be effective.)Like most of you guys ...Ive had fenders, marshalls and boogies and they are nice but there is something about a d-style amp that kicks it up anotch..and the ceriatones are soooo much amp for the money.Got to get another one.

What is the skyliner tone stack?
(I used to have an HRM 50 watt but sold it. OD channel was amazing.)

13  Ceriatone / Overtone / OTS Ford Model vs HRM BM clean channel on: September 06, 2011, 02:15:22 AM
The HRM BluesMaster clean channel seems to be very well recieved as it is similar to a fender and will break up a bit. How does that compare to the Ford model? I havent heard any comments or videos regarding the Ford models' clean channel.
Thanks!
14  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Questions about new FM100 on: September 04, 2011, 04:26:32 AM
Yes that is a great sound and nice playing.Enjoyed listening to that.(As a rock blues player who loves Ford/Carlton.. would enjoy hearing what your doing on the solo scales. Is that more than major scales. Are you changing keys in your solo?Any diminished scales in those solos on the full track? My ear isnt too smart.
Is the FM the only model Nic builds with the C-lator built into the head?
Thanks!!
15  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Basic Question on my HRM 50 watt - Help on: January 05, 2011, 04:34:15 PM
@ SDUck...SO you got the bluesmaster version? I have the straight 50 watt HRM and think its great but if anything I am not thrilled with is the clean channel. Its definiitly clean with absoultley no break up at hi volume, which for some players Im sure thats a great option.I like the natural tube with slight break sound. Im thinkin I might have liked the blusesmaster bettter., but am still thrilled wiht the amp. Low volume it still has incredbile overdrive.
