1  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: C-LATOR inside amp ?? on: April 23, 2011, 01:03:07 PM
You can easily put a C-lator into a smaller metal box and put it into the bottom of your head cab. Even inside the chassis if you are crafty.......

Yep that sounds like what I need , thanks . Once it is set with my settings then I probably wont need to touch it

Cool ok now to look for a box , thanks Guys

Sorry guys

I Must explain myself better, I do not mean within the amp as there is little room as there is . I mean in the space at the bottom of the amp like Zeeman has done omny I do not wish to have the C-lator visable from the front as I want my amp to look as it is just now. hope that helps
3  Ceriatone / Overtone / C-LATOR inside amp ?? on: April 21, 2011, 09:08:59 PM
Hi everybody

This may have been asked , but before I pester Nik. some opinions. I have tried my Brothers  C-Lator and like it . but I want to build it into the bottom of my 50w Hrm , to stop the cable runs and carrying an extra unit around (i use 2 amps already) I seen the post where Nik has built the C-lator unit into the amp but for me I would prefer to keep the look of my amp as is . So could I ditch the casing that comes with the C-lator and build it into the bottom of my amp . or would there be screening issues or any other issues ?? . I would appreciate any opinions

thanks

5  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: OVERTONE HRM LO INPUT 2 AMPS on: May 08, 2010, 12:39:11 PM
well that sounds like what i need

so the LEHLE allows you to adjust the combined A+B volume to a lowerlevel

so that it is close to the level of say A amp on its own ?

thanks for your replies guys I have had my eye on some ampswitchers lehle etc but £200 for a switcher it has to do the job I require my problem is that when I use 2 amps the volume is set on combination of 2 amps but when I go to 1 amp ie hrm the volume is too quiet and I dont think even an amp switcher could solve this just have to buy another amp  Grin

Hi can I use my low input to daisychain to another amps input so I can have 2 amps at once or will my signal be weaker from my guitar  to both amps . ?
9  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: footswitch and pab and od switches not working on: February 21, 2010, 12:46:06 PM
I remember when I first finished my HRM the footswitch did not work and if I remember rightly I had wired as per ceriatone layout but the sockets were shown upside down and I had to reverse the wiring before it worked ok
     just a thought

12  Ceriatone / Overtone / Great speaker for HRM on: December 28, 2009, 06:19:23 PM
I know this has been discussed before in great detail but just wanted to share this

I got an old 70S coffee can EV 12 SRO speaker and stuck it in my open back 2x12 along with my
EVM12L, at first I was disheartened as the mids were not as prominent but there was a ton of low end that was very clear and articulate. I always thought my EVM12L had lots of low but nothing compared to the SRO , the sro was very clear sounding compared to EVM12L but much darker sounding so I decided to tweak the   amp to suit the SRO first pulled the bright switch on pre amp gain this helped greatly jammed with it for an hour  TWEAKED THE MIDS TO 7or so and now I love this speaker much more than the EVM12L
it is a very clean sounding speaker if that makes any sense, and OD is so smooth as butter
also the cleans are brilliant. never thought I would find a speaker I liked as much as evm12l if you can get one of these I would recommend it highly, tho the alnico magnet weighs 18lbs overall much the same as EVM12L tho after playing the SRO I dont want to connect the EVM 12L yet,
it amazes me how much a difference  the speaker makes to an amp .  I would recommend this speaker to anyone who has an amp that is on the bright or harsh side   thanks Derek

14  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Looking to buy an overtone but you can't make your mind? on: December 27, 2009, 02:28:54 PM
This is the Bludo that Matt was using on his last tour. Very different settings to his TR. Each amp will sound different, you just need to find your own settings

Hey Hywell, that looks like Larry’s amp (bluesmaster with flexiplex OD) which I’ve played when he was in London.
It had an enormous bass response and pretty mild overdrive. I’m not surprised Matt has turned bass down and OD up.

That makes Sense, at recent Matt schofield masterclass he tolus he was getting a direct clone of Larry Carltons amp made for him and had one on loan.
How was it to play ??
15  Ceriatone / Overtone / Re: Looking to buy an overtone but you can't make your mind? on: December 26, 2009, 04:48:34 PM
Hi currently using an EVM 12L , but have just bought an old EV SRO12 which is like an alnico 65watt 12 speaker from the 70s, I havent tried it in my cab yet but plan to use it in an openback 2x12 with the EVM 12L .

I agree with your settings for les paul and strat (I use both) when on OD channel with both guitars I like the mids set 6-7 But when I change to clean prefer the mids set at 3-4 I was considering taking the PAB out as I dont use it and using the PAB relay to switch the mid boost switch . this may be my best option to get the tone I want . as you rightly stated this is A Single channel amp with a compromise for the OD channel (My marshall silver jubilee is the same) . Although Matt Schofield who I seen recently had his mid+ treble both set at 3 on his two rock and had killer tone !!

thanks Derek
