Hey, I have a 50 watt overtone special. When I turn it on from standby I get a rhythmical ticking noise coming through my speaker cabnets. Great if I want an inbuilt metronome however I don't. Has anyone else had this problem? Or know of a solution?

Thanks Madgringo!

Recently there was a thread at a builders forum covered this issue:
-Line power noise
-cell phone
-If you touch the standby switch does it stop? (Not grounded with chassis standby switch issue)
- bad electrolytic capacitors
