I'm working slowly on my first build from Ceriatone which is an OTS. I watched a youtube video of marianblues doing the test between the non-hrm and hrm.

Overall, I like the OTS but I also know that it's hard to judge based on computer speakers. I do like the deep switch on the HRM though.

The only difference I've found between the 2 amps concerning the deep switch is that the HRM has a push/pull on the vol for the bright and the switch has some different values.

have any of you added the deep switch to you OTS?

I've not searched thru all the posts so if this has been discussed would you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

i did this mod courtesy of Mcinku' s layout and it does give an improved mids response. as i would never have used the FET input this is a good mod and relatively easy to do, too, laurie

Your mod must have been the one I read previously.

I think I will have use for the FET so I don't want to take it away. I'm actually thinking about using that "ground switch" that's on the back and not hooked up to anything and add the "deep" switch. Or at least using the pre-drilled hole.

If I were you, I would not use the ground switch. It's on the other side of the chassis... it's not good idea to take preamp signal near the power amp and power supply.  This way you could pick up some additional noise.

Well that's something to think about. Thanks.

I'll ponder this a little more.

I changed the PAB since I took that picture... along with that, deep changed as well (a little).
