I'm not an expert but as far as I know 5881 tubes are rated for plate voltage up to 400V and Overtones plate voltage is 450-470V. That's to much for these tubes.

 Huh?

Nik told me the plate voltage was 440 to 450, not disputing you, I just want to know what it really is, should I ask Nik again? The reason for me is I am going to try something I won't mention until I do it, because all of you will think I am crazy, but if it works..Oh Boy. So I need a definitive answer to that. Are you liking your rig now mcinku.

The reason why I said that is cause I measured mine (450V) and the other one, which belongs to my friend had 470V.
So if you want to know for sure what your plate voltage is, you will have to measure it.
 Huh?

...can you elaborate a little bit on this. Like I said I'm not an expert and I want to learn as much as possible... and statement like that doesn't say much.
Can those tubes handle bigger plate voltages or what?

 Huh?
