Title: Weber vs celestion Post by: flexmachine on November 02, 2010, 11:44:23 AM Hi,
i'm thinking about changing from g12-65 to Celstion Gold or Weber Alnico. I tend do play more and more strat/singlecoil guitarsover my 50w HRM Bluesmaster. Maybe I should try Smartulator or Verbrator first, since many described how they change the tone. Any opinion? What Webers would suit the BM best? regards Title: Re: Weber vs celestion Post by: Pickmaster on November 02, 2010, 12:36:32 PM Any opinion? I've got a 4x10 with 4 Jensens P10r's. I'd like to change two of them for something a little warmer. Thinking about Celestion Greenback 10's or something from the Eminence range. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Title: Re: Weber vs celestion Post by: buddyrama on November 03, 2010, 12:22:31 AM Howdy. I replaced th jensen tens in my victoria 35210 with weber alnico blue dog 30 watters and they sound very warm and full, also put one in my mesa express 5:25 and acheived a similar result.

Hi Hywel, Thanks for asking my friend. Yes, we’ve made couple of stereo 2x10 and 4x10. For high power amps (100w and up) we really liked Fane alnico axiom AXA10 and Celestion Gold 10s. Worm with great mids and sweet highs. For medium power - weber alnico blue dog 30s and NeoMag 10s are great https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/ Title: Re: Weber vs celestion Post by: mr fabulous on November 04, 2010, 03:31:21 PM i have an amp with a weber blue pup 10 inch and it can sound a bit thin at lower volumes but boy does it sing when opened up!!

Sorry my man, never tried the AXA clone. EV 10s are pretty amazing though but heavy. |
