Title: V1 local feedback circuit
Post by: mx on December 10, 2008, 08:07:16 PM
Hello,

In troubleshooting my amp build, Nik suggested I remove the feedback components on V1 (the .05 Orange Drop Cap, 470pf ceramic cap and two 22M resistors).  That fixed a bad/my solder joint  :-[  and the amp went immediately back into the cabinet.

My question is...what exactly do those components do tone-wise and am I ill-advised to just leave them out?

Thanks,

Matt

Your clean CH becomes more aggressive...less clean headroom, slightly fatter as well

You can use a switch, so you can have both flavours at your finger tips.  ;)
