I just can't seem to get near as good of tone thru the amp with single coils as hb's. Any help as far as what settings you all are using? So far it just seems like the amp needs the push of some humbuckers to really make it sing. The cleans are just fine, its really the drive tone I am looking for. Thanks, Mike

thanks, I have been trying everything. And I think I have come to the conclusion that I need to hit it with a pedal to push the amp a bit more. Thats been the nice thing with my lp,I haven't needed pedals to have a nice lead tone at any volume.

First of all, as bluesfendermanblues mentioned: put clean volume on 7 for the strat.
For overdrive ā€“ open up the amp end adjust the overdrive trimmer for your taste. Then compare clean and drive and if the drive tone is to trebly increase a capacitor values on the second tube. Iā€™m sure you will get great drive sound.
Good luck
